Heard about the cha jiang mian but standard is only so-so. Hwang Sil was much better. However, the sweet and sour pork and garlic chicken were good. Service was really quite bad for a Korean restaurant. Not sure what happened.

My feeling is the cha jiang mian sauce taste so so only, but their dumpling, friend pork, fried chicken and ma po toufu taste great. Overall a good place to taste traditional korean food.

Visited this restaurant 3 times for lunch. They have an extensive ala carte menu with authentic looking Korean food items. However out of the 3 visits I had always only order their seafood jajangmyeon (I don’t take pork) which taste very authentic Korean and I...can say is the best you can get in Singapore. Location: The Central (Clarke quay) Ambience: very family , casual with hint of Korean decor Service: those expected from a Korean family restaurant, don’t expect 5 star service Type of lunch: solo Food Ordered: seafood jajangmyeon (sgd 16) comes with complimentary kimchi & danmuji(pickled daikon)) , bottled water was served Portion/ Taste: great JJM as always ! Portion is huge . The sauce taste divine and the thickness is just nice to coat the handmade noodle which is very springy, not too salty with a tint of sweetness coming from the well cooked and generous amount of onions used. Seafood includes octopus & prawn Will be back for Sure! Maybe next time dinner to try other food items. Some of the food items look like Korean Chinese dishes which cost around sgd25 for small portion and sgd 30+ for normal size.More

This restaurant service is very slow today , one waitress running around and act as cashier. Food took awhile to come. The price is not cheap with the quality you can taste. Ordered the set menu but food is rather sweet on my view. Like...a hawker type of food but paid higher price in this restaurant. Sweet and sour pork, Cha Chang Mian, fried Chicken. Fried peppery tang Hoon is he best.. do enjoy..More

Was there with a group of friends for lunch before our appointment. we had almost 1.5hrs for lunch and we picked something near and simple. So one of our friends highly recommended us to this place as we were told it serves delicious jajangmyeon and...sweet n sour pork, so we were looking forward to our visit. however we left disappointed and did not had a chance to try it. when we sat down, the restaurant was probably less than 40% filled, we ordered 2 lunch sets (jajangmyeon + sweet n sour pork) , 1 japchae, 1 fried and 1 steam dumplings to share. we were served with kimchi and pickles while waiting. after about 10mins of wait, our dumplings were served. Maybe another 15mins (after checking with the server) the sweet and sour pork were served, it did not exceed our expectation (according to our friends who tried before, the taste is not the same). then another 10-15mins 1 plate of japchae was served (with constant checking as we were running out of time). Servers were also not attentive to refill side dishes. The group who came around the same time as us has most of their dishes served. and the one who came after us were also waiting impatiently (also constantly checking their food status). In the end we left before the noodles came (after waiting for another 10-15mins and we were left with 10mins to head to another location) When my friend was footing the bill, she felt we were overcharged and cheated as the receipt given to her to check was about 60+ (pic: below) and upon payment the credit card and revised receipt was 80+ (pic: above) -cos the cashier mention that the GST and service charge was not included; we felt that they should not even charge us for service for such an experience. and the sweet n sour pork was charge full price under ala carte. Not sure if this is an one off incident as i have seen many good reviews on it. but it was definitely a disappointing one for us :(More

We visited this place for the purpose only to try the jajangmyeon. The place was easily found, beautifully decorated, and the service was very good as well. The food was quick to serve and taste was pretty good. We saw quite a lot of koreans...eating here as well and it gave some feeling that you're in Korea. =)More

If you are expecting the uncommon korean cuisines unlike any other korean restaurants, this is the right place. The dishes seems more towards homely types and its entirely great. The chef who is also the boss, the staffs are all Koreans which we are in...for real. The settings in the restaurant is comfy. I have been here many times, kept coming back and will recommend this place to alot of people. Keep it up guys! Tae Woo Korean Restaurant is awesome!More

Ate lunch and ordered jajangmyeon, sweet sour pork, seafood soup noodle and mul mandu. Bill came up to about S$80, pretty expensive considering the small portion served. The sweet sour pork alone cost $26 for a small size plate. Everything just taste average ( except...maybe the jajangmyeon which taste better than other restaurants like manna, flavorful but towards the end it has a very oily feeling). The mul mandu and its accompanying dipping sauce are bland. The seafood noodles taste more like Italian soup spaghetti than Korean. The free drink (cold tea) is almost like water and the side dishes are only kimchi, raw onion, pickled radish and Szechuan veggie. They used a lot of onion for most of the dishes. Saw one group of Korean customers ordering the same dishes we did, I suppose it means they should be serving authentic Korean food. But for local taste buds, not recommended. If it is any indication, 2 hours after the meal we were left feeling very thirsty. Maybe too much MSG? MSG and still bland ( maybe it's me who prefer more seasoning in my food) Hm...Shin instant noodles definitely taste much better. Service wise no complaints but could be more welcoming.More

Lovely Korean decor and feel to the place. However the food was only passable and had a Korean/Chinese fusion feel to it. The sides dishes were only allowed to be refilled only once which was a surprise. Not cheap as well so probably would not...come back again.More

The jjampong and Jajangmyeon were good. Especially the Jajangmyeon was really good. Worth a try. They have some other chinese korean stir fry dishes available. The Tangsuyuk was good except that it was a bit too sticky but really taste good.

Very authentic Korean style Chinese cuisine. The Chef is more than 20 years culinary experience in Korea. Strong recommendation. Jajang-myeon, 4 types of course(spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) which is my favourite.
