made a big mistake of ordering from Delhi 6 on their website. 1hour to deliver a simple meal in Singapore when the distance was less than 10min away. not sure which world are they operating in specially when during Covid every restaurant needs to be...mindful of their customers. As a result cold stale food. the whole experience being bad. Very disappointed! their website did not mention that it takes so long to deliver. I would not give them my business anymore and also have shared my experience with my friends and family in the area to avoid. there are better restaurants who serve hot food delivering within reasonable time. Delhi6 - lots to learn from other restaurants.More
Visited the outlet at Race Course Road, Singapore. Good range of Indian food especially North Indian and wide range of Indian 'breads'. Ordered the platter of kebab and tandoori meats. Delicious together with a variety of naans. Also ordered the butter chicken which went pretty...well with the naans (plain, garlic and butter)More
Delhi 6 is a well established North Indian restaurant located right next to Little India MRT (Buffalo Road Exit) on Race Course Road.
Delhi 6 offers a wide range of North Indian food and at a great price, it’s usually packed on Friday’s and weekends....Must try: Jeera Rice, Chicken Tikka, Dal Tadka, Aloo Paratha, Chicken Tandoori, Chicken / Mutton Seekh Kababs and Chicken Biryani. You can also order Beers and Liquor here.
Best place for a get together with friends or family.More
On Friday 11th January 2019 – The OCC visited Delhi6, East Coast Road Village
For full transparency, see below scores (out of 10). Restaurants must score an average of 7/10 or above to receive the OCC sticker of recommendation.
Customer care: 6.75
Delhi6 IS awarded the much-coveted OCC sticker of recommendation, narrowly making the required 7/10 average
Travelling East for the first time, The OCC chose Delhi6 to review. Partly because we had heard good things about the food, but also because we were intrigued to experience this unconventional location. Situated in the basement of a mall connected to Hotel Katong, you could be excused for walking straight past this quite small, unassuming purveyor of spice. If you are a follower of our reviews you will by now know that atmosphere is an important part of our review process so we felt it important to visit a good cross section of the kind of restaurants you will find in Singapore.
Atmosphere scored lowest overall with a quite flaccid 6.2 partly due to the location but also due to the small size of Delhi6. As a party of 9 the OCC took center stage with the few remaining tables delicately placed around us. We are quite a rowdy bunch once the Kingfishers get flowing (served icy cold and quite promptly btw) but in such a small venue there is a danger of feeling like you are eating your meal in silence. One of the trialists of the evening Ben ‘Hodor’ Dyas likened it to the Curry house on the moon…Great food, very little atmosphere (BOOM BOOM).
When you run a small restaurant you are obviously limited to the number of tables you can sit. But rather than see this as a negative we feel managers should see this as an opportunity to offer great customer care and service. Fewer patrons = more love to share right? Unfortunately this was only partially true in Delhi6’s case. The service was decent. We ordered a lot of dishes and were sinking the Kingfishers like they came directly from the teat of Mama Yashin herself. The waiting staffs were able to accommodate us without any prolonged delays or dips in the evening. Customer care however was a slightly different story. As a party of 9 we booked in advance and made it clear we were coming in to review the restaurant. We were a little disappointed with the lack of fuss made of us and we sat down feeling a little unloved. As one member put it, “I expected better customer care considering our group basically filled the whole restaurant.”
In terms of the quality of the food Delhi6 does not disappoint. Scoring a commendable 7.89 the OCC thoroughly enjoyed the variety, presentation and taste of the dishes on offer. A sample of some of the feedback given by OCC members
“Weird location but really top notch food”. “The best fish curry I have had in 2018” (please note this fish curry was actually consumed in 2019 soooooo??). “Food was well presented”.
The portions in Delhi6 are quite small and the OCC are renowned gluttons. As a result we ordered A LOT of dishes, too many to list here but most noteworthy (from my dwindling memory Mr Chairman) was the fish tikka, tandoori murg and all of the kebab starters. The Rogan Josh, Daal and Biriyani were all very good and were accompanied with fresh roti’s and naans. Everything that came out was bright, colourful and really well presented.
Kingfishers are S$8 a bottle. The starters average about S$11 each and the mains around S$15. Not the cheapest curry in Singapore but we feel this represents fair value for the food and experience. A meal suitable for the Mayor of Oakham himself perhaps??
To summarize, you will get a very good meal at Delhi6 and the serving staff will look after you. This is a great venue for a tasty meal but perhaps not your first choice if you want to let your hair down on a Friday night…although we all did (with the exception of VC Billy of course)

Of the restaurants we visited in Little India, this was the best of the bunch and quite inexpensive for food and drink. Frequented by locals, always a good sign. The lamb appetizer was perfect - tender and great combination of flavors. The Palak Paneer was...great and the Roti was as good as any I've had in India.More
Its one of the best places where you can get delicious indian food at decent prices. Staff is very polite and welcoming. Above all the music that they play is amazing for indian music lovers. Perfect place with 100% value for money at a very...convenient location.More
Yesterday was my second visit to this restaurant. Located across the street from Little India MRT, Exit E, the place is in a central location. I was brought here by a friend a couple of weeks ago and we tried some prawn masala...with butter chicken and nans. It was an excellent experience. For a small place situated right above a small food shack where you'd see people mostly drinking over the weekends, this place is quite unsual, given that the owners are still the same.
Anyways, because I was very impressed, I invited a friend over for dinner last night and ordered the same food and even more items.
1. Lamb Boti Kabab
2. Prawn Masala
The lamb came in a semi cook condition. I thought it may be just one piece, but we found that all of the food was the same! We asked the server to look into this and the server's excuse was the meat sold in Singapore is that ways! Wow! What he meant was that the lamb was unchewable because the meat in Singapore is hard~ Wow, my dear friend doesn't know that there is difference in cooking fish, chicken and lamb. Lamb needs to be well done, and has to be tender to be edible. He had a feeling of disagreement yet brought back the lamb into the kitchen and came back after 20 minutes with a couple of pieces in the same disposition! I gave up!..
If you're a fan of burning your own guts down with spicy food, then this is the right place is for you! Unfortunately, I''m not, so I had to bear the grunt of it. The prawn and chicken was SUPER spicy! When I mentioned it to the server, he brought the chef over and the chef took my spoon and tasted it from the dish right away! I feel its not only rude, but a display of how much they think about food hygiene. If they can do this so openly, I dare not to imagine what goes out in the kitchen.
And the best part was the solution that the chef offered: He offered to bring in tomato ketchup to eat with Prawn and Chicken! I didn't know if they were actually that silly or just fooling around, but they managed to earn this review well.
He went back into the kitchen with my dishes and came back adding some cream which only I could think of (against his popular suggestion of tomato ketchup) and the food tasted the same spicy.
I ordered a bowl of raita to go along with it, and it did not help either.
Ultimately I gave up and left the food as is. And I'm sick today!
All in all, I would NOT recommend this place for reasons of quality, hygiene and taste.More
Ordered via GrabFood for dinner tonight and it was delicious. The roasted broccoli with yogurt was divine! Naan was very good. Butter chicken, dal makhni and lamb rogan josh was all superb. We had trouble picking our favourite dish because it was all so good.

We have 3 outlets, Katong V, 15 mins by Taxi from Clarke Quay. Our newly opened Capitol Piazza Outlet is just above City Hall MRT and would be 5 mins by Taxi. This outlet is in Basement 1, inside Palette Restaurant & Bar. Our 3rd outlet is at Republic Plaza and probably is closest to your location but this outlet is only open Monday to Friday, it's closed on weekends.
