The larger hawker centre more to CBD than Chinatown. Great for tourist as better quality and more choice across Asian cuisine. With this comes a higher price but great place to go

High prices, bad service, bad attitude. Better to stay local. C. 1h wait for food preparation. I guess they are struggling for lack of foreign workers but it adds up to a terrible experience.

An old reliable in Singapore where you can get an open air food court vibe in the middle of the business district.

This is such an icon for Singapore. Most stores were mediocre. It failed to showcase our beloved Singapore's hawker food and its beauty. Could have done better!

Plenty of choices there. Although it’s a tourist attraction but there are many decent non-touristic stalls also which serve excellent food at reasonable food. Avoid the stalls facing road towards SGX, rest are more authentic frequented by locals and office workers. Overall still very good,...a must place attraction. Convenient location.More

You don't know what to eat when you enter the hawker centre. I always make a round before deciding for a specific dish/cuisine. Every time I am in Singapore, I make a point to visit this busy hawker centre. It is in the middle of...various financial businesses so, try to avoid lunch hour. It will be crowded. I am fortunate to stay across the street whenever I am in Singapore. A choice between two good food courts, eg Lau Pa Sat or Asian Centre. In the evening it is the best place to get your satay. The street is blocked and taken over by the various satay vendors. So whenever you are in Singapore, make sure to visit this landmark and enjoy a tour of Asian cuisine and try to reserve an evening to enjoy eating satay. One note, don't expect staff to be over selious to please you. They prepare the food and that's it.More

Lau Pa Sat is a must for any visitor. Despite its fame it is still an authentic slice of Singapore street food. Go on a Monday at lunch and you’ll find locals casually dining during work with their friends and colleagues, every one of the...50 or so stalls being patronized. And the variety!! Singaporean specialities like prawn noodle and thunder tea rice, Indian, Thai, Chinese, even Mexican (although maybe don’t try that one). The desserts section was especially cool and had a variety of local delicacies such as Malaysian Ice Kachang and Durian-flavored milk ice (I liked it)! All in a beautiful, anachronous old-school venue slapped in the middle of bustling modern skyscraper downtown.More

In an expensive and two tier economy, this hawker location provides great value and easily accessible food for all. All cuisines are carried for, so take your take to review the stalls. Highly recommend visiting on Sundays, where they extend onto the street and offer...outside BBQ with different types of meat and seafood skewers. Beer is also reasonably priced and served in glass tankards.More

Not the best time to visit, a public holiday, Deepavali and in Covid times when the city is dead but as a local welcomed the experience especially as Kopitiam cards are accepted with the generous discount it carries. Must say it's large and airy and...there's a great variety of food, beautifully displayed with pictures and descriptions on top of each stall. Tourists would enjoy the relatively cheaper food than in other tourist traps. Not being particularly hungry went for the wanton mee which was a bit disappointing. Too much sauce slathered on the rather dry and hard char siew and the mee tasted alkaline but the stallholder was courteous and very welcoming.More

Always love to visit here. There are so many options from local to western. You get to enjoy all kinds of local cuisines. This time, I tried Turkish vegetarian dish and it was tasty!
