Lau Pa Sat is a must for any visitor. Despite its fame it is still an authentic slice of Singapore street food. Go on a Monday at lunch and you’ll find locals casually dining during work with their friends and colleagues, every one of the...50 or so stalls being patronized.
And the variety!! Singaporean specialities like prawn noodle and thunder tea rice, Indian, Thai, Chinese, even Mexican (although maybe don’t try that one).
The desserts section was especially cool and had a variety of local delicacies such as Malaysian Ice Kachang and Durian-flavored milk ice (I liked it)!
All in a beautiful, anachronous old-school venue slapped in the middle of bustling modern skyscraper downtown.More
