In general Lau Pa Sat tends to be more expensive and smaller portions than the local places. But there is a Chinese kitchen at one end, on towards the outside of the building, which is great. Really extensive menu, friendly chef and good value

They don't usually close the street for satay on Sunday .. which is actually the tourist drawcard.

What I know is that they open all day long but turn the road at one side of the complex into a pedestrian mall after 6pm or so. Did not spot any Kaya Toast stall though as most of the food items on sale at Lau Pa Sat are... More
