In the course of 6 days staying locally, we ended up eating here twice – on our first and last nights.
We wanted a quality meal in an outstanding location with excellent service each time – and we achieved that.
The menu has a wide choice of Italian dishes – including Pizzas and Pasta, of course – but with other interesting choices including fish, salads and meat. The Chefs’ specials are to be recommended – they change regularly.
On each visit my wife and I shared a starter and had a main course each. All top quality.
The staff who looked after us are helpful with advice, friendly and professional.
The location, close to the river is ideal – we chose to eat outside each time on lovely warm Singapore evenings. To guarantee an outside table at the front it’s worth making a reservation at peak times.

We've been away for 8 months and were delighted to see that our favourite place by the river is still providing its consistently excellent quality at a fair price.
Giovanni, an authentic Italian professional waiter with great good humour, is proof that first class service still exists, he and his colleagues are always there just before you realise you needed them and the food is absolutely delicious, over many visits we've tried many of the pastas (great gluten free selection) and pizzas, last night was the lamb shanks, all have been perfectly cooked and presented.
Whether you're on a date night or just out for dinner Rosso Vino has always delivered.
Great location next to the river perfect for watching the world pass by and particularly excellent two for one cocktails between 4 and 7.

This small outdoor restrauant has a nice setting overlooking the river canal at Clarke Quay. It is just behind the Park Hotel.
It had good and friently service. Run by two young Italians. The antipasto was excellent but not enough bread is served. The pizza we had was great, The bottle of Proseco we ordered was good but a bit on the expensive side at $58 for what you get,
But generally this was a good restaurant.

My family and I dined in on the 14th May 2022. Hospitality and service was bad. We made reservations about 2 weeks in advance, towards the end of April and requested for indoor seating. Just about 3.5 hours before the reservation, we received a call from the restaurant that indoor seating is full and if we can relocate outdoors instead. We then asked since we booked it 2 weeks ago, was it only full today or was it already full and that they did not inform us earlier. The service staff said she will call me back to confirm if there were any indoor seats available but there was no such confirmation call from them from the time they called me to my reservation time. Now, we understand that the clause of the restaurant states that indoor seating is subject to availability, but really on such short notice? We would have gladly adhered to the request if we were informed earlier, or we could have shifted the reservation date if we knew that the restaurant had been fully booked 2 weeks ago when we made the reservation.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by the owner of the place, Mr Salvatore himself. The first thing he said to us was “I heard you guys didn’t want to sit outdoors, Why not? It’s such a beautiful day”. First and foremost, this should not be the first thing you say to your guests, there is no need for such a passive aggressive and sarcastic statement. I was expecting to receive a confirmation call to confirm if there were indoor seats available, but that did not take place and then it became our fault that WE did not want to sit outdoors? That was already a bad start to what would then be a disappointing dinner.
We have had their food 3 times, twice in the restaurant and once being taken away, by far this has to be the worst one yet. The first 2 occasions, the food was on point and we even let our friends and family know about it through social media and word of mouth. I will not go into too much detail about the food, but at least the mediocre food was better than the hospitality and service. And also, they used cream in carbonara, so much for Authentic Italian food huh?

After surfing the web , we alighted on this gem which appeared to be patronised by locals . The manager (Italian) was so knowledgeable about the food and wines. The pasta Fettuccine Alfredo was one of the best and yes we have been to Italy many times, it was so good my husband went on to have ravioli .

My favourite Italian dish is Spaghetti Vongole. I have eaten it all around Italy and my benchmark is a restaurant in Chioggia near Venice.
The Spaghetti Vongole I had at Rosso Vino was very close to that benchmark.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal at the attentive service from the Italian waiter and the General Manager who gave me a complimentary Limoncello.

Very attentive and great service provided by Jane. Usually when i order my food in restaurant the staff will not ask me do i have any food allergy. I'm surprise by her when she ask me if i have any preference or any food allergy when i order my pasta . I ask her for some recommendation and she recommended me fettuccine alfred. Very delicious and would definitely come back again

As we are confined to our island nation due to the current travel restrictions, being an Italian food enthusiast, it is truly a blessing to have restaurants like Rosso Vino for us to go to to remind ourselves that Italian food in Singapore isn't that hard to find after all! Positive vibes, beautiful location, great food and wine, and most importantly tip top service. We dropped by the restaurant for an early dinner on a warm sunny evening, and was warmly greeted and attended to by a pleasant host named Jane - she attended to all our requests, and anticipated our needs. Terrific personalized service, who addressed us by our names - felt so at home we didn't want to leave. Needless to say, it was a evening well spent and what a great amazing dinner we had. Highly recommend the Bruschetta Tallegio.

Eva was super friendly and warm from the moment we arrived. I felt at ease and comfortable almost instantly. The pasta we order (Spaghetti al Pomodoro & Carbonara) was super delicious and filling! The carbonara sauce thick and creamy. The Pomodoro sauce was equally thick with a taste of cheesy tomato. Eva even have us extra parmesan cheeseee! Eva recommended the Aperol Spritz (1 for 1 from 4pm onwards) and it was super refreshing and nicely boozy. Eva’s service made this place feel like home even though it was our first time. Already planning to come back for future date nights!

Our second visit here with my family. Our cravings for Italian food has been satisfied again. My daughter loves pasta and she enjoyed the homemade bolognese. We also had pizza patate and tenderloin steak greatly recommended by our nice waitress Chyna. Will come back again to try some more awesome dish! Great service team rosso vino!

Went on Saturday night when the restaurant was busy and had a bad experience overall. The food took a long time to arrive and the chicken marinara had no marinara sauce on it . when I asked about the missing marinara sauce , i was told it was normally served on the side which is fine except they forgot to serve it. When it finally arrived, it was in a small plastic tub (looked like it was for takeaway) and was cold. When I asked for a sauce that was not cold, it never arrived . Restaurants do have busy days when things may go wrong, and I understand that, but the attitude and demeanor of the service staff indicated that they didnt need my business.

we ordered one of the hand made pasta and a risotto and it took almost 40-50 minutes after ordering.. when we asked the waitress, she said it was due to the handmade pasta. when ordering, i wish they had informed us that it would take that long so we could have ordered something else. also after we asked for our food after 30 minutes of waiting she said she would bring us bread while we wait, and never did. so we just waited another 20 min with no food. disappointing, food was only average especially for the high price. ambience was nice though

It’s my first visit with my friends and I am already a customer for life! Here’s why.
I was greeted and served by Jane. She was detailed, friendly and enthusiastic about her work.
The food is delicious (specially my favourite steak) and affordable while the ambiance is just as good.

This review is for a pizza delivery service
I ordered a pepperoni via delivery service. I only had one piece, it was horrible. The base was undercook, and there was way too much cheese. Was like eating cheese fondue on top of uncooked dough.
Maybe was just a one off, but the kitchen should had spotted this.

Eva’s very welcoming and considerate of our time in the restaurant. It was a wonderful dining experience to have with my boyfriend. She made sure that our water was constantly refilled and even lit our table candle at the right time. She also reassured us that we were free to enjoy the restaurant’s ambiance whilst enjoying our food. She is also easy to talk to.
