Initially was excited to visit The Assembly Ground as they have good review and it was my first time visiting the restaurant. We had ordered the Slipper Lobster Barramundi Laksa, Truffle Mushroom pizza and a Early Grey Cake. I am overall satisfy with the taste...of the food but the Slipper Lobster Barramundi Laksa was kind of disappointing. I'm not sure is the kitchen out of pasta as it was served with only 2 mouthful (refer to picture) and it cost at $28. I took a look at the other 2 tables, their pasta was served with generous potion probably mine was the last one but that shouldnt be an excuse too!More

Food ok. Ordering system sucks.

(Actually went to the outlet at CineLeisure which isn't on TripAdvisor but I'm sure the system is the same and thus the feedback equally applicable) Food was ok. 2D barcode scanning system really sucks though. At least have the option to view a full sized...printed menu and order at counter as having to scan through a menu on a phone screen just isn't good. And I don't buy the excuse that it's contactless and so for safety. Perfectly simple to laminate a few menus and wipe down. More about penny pinching.More

Good service

The staff is very attentive and courteous. Their Americano is probably one of the cheapest in town. Apple Crumble is nice but a bit on the expensive side.

Craft Beer at Assembly Ground

Tried the new outlet at Cineleisure on this visit in November 2020. Just for some beers before dinner, making the most of their happy hour pricing. Decent craft beer at reasonable prices (albeit a limited selection).

Unique menu

Went with a burple 1-for-1 pasta deal (which i believe is available regularly on weekdays) -- tried the umami pasta & spicy crab pomodoro. The crab pasta was super delicious and all of my friends agreed! The spicy kick was the perfect amount of spice....On the other hand the umami pasta was a little underwhelming. The truffle pizza was pretty good as well and overall great food though a little pricey! Service could be improved though, felt that one of the staff was slightly passive aggressive but no harm done. :)More

Truffle Carbonara is so good~~

Atmosphere is pleasant. Service is good. But the tables are abit dusty as i tried to wipe and my tissue became black. Most importantly the food is so good especially their truffle carbonara. so well cooked!More

Decent food, helpful service staff but we had a rocky table

We shared a pizza (mushroom truffle pizza,$24), a pasta (crab pomedoro pasta, $24) and sides (calamari rings, $10?) Price wise, it is still acceptable - considering the fact that they’re located in a rather prime location. Service, was good. Staff was attentive and tried to...help us with our rocky table but I guess the table was just broken. They were happy to explain and was quick to serve/clean up the previous table for us. Thank you! Food wise, it was decent. I thought the pasta portion was a little too small for mains. Pasta had a good amount of crab meat and spaghetti was cooked al dente. Pizza was yummy, I liked everything about it! Calamari rings were nothing special but not bad either. Overall, food was yummy but I was also pretty hungry lol Overall, happy to come here again!
