I will avoid the chicken rice stall at all cost . The food tasted normal but most of all the Aunty at the stall is rude and don’t even want to give me more sauce . I ate there and the other take away and...she said rudely to me that I only bought 1 packet and I will not be given sauce . Not sure what logic is that . In all I paid for 2 servings . 1 eaten there and other take away but she told me those reasons rudely that 1 packet no sauce for you ! Isn’t the sauce and condiments given to customers be it how many packets you bought !More

Came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. Lots of different stalls selling different foods at very good prices. There is something for everyone and I found a lot of vegetarian options.

If you know the food stalls before it was here at this new renovated food centre at the road side of Balestier road, they are actually from the far Thomson food centre called Long House. It was so wonderful place with the ambient of the...very local food stall and good foods good peoples around it. Although most of the stall decided to move together to this Balestier Market and Food Centre, some stall are still keeping it good and tasty food quality like the fried banana fritter and the chicken rice... but overall the place is turning not so attractive and slowly lose it customers since it moved over here few years ago. Hope there is something different and changes in the near future.More

Along the Heritage Trail, you'll never run out of Singaporean cuisine to try at the Balestier Market. Everything and anything goes from piping hot congee soups, mouthwatering hainanese chicken with braised egg and an array of fresh fruits as well as iced desserts to try....And what's even better is that you do not have to empty your wallet just to enjoy the wide selection of food they have. Note though that outside drinks and food are not allowed - just come over and enjoy as much as I did!🤤🤤More

It's hard to go wrong with most hawker markets in Singapore. Our local foodie friends said this one is pretty good. It is known for good roast duck, white carrot cake & prawn pancake.

Marrying historical landmark and culinary delights under one roof. Better priced and generous serve as compared to the better known Newton Circle.

Unlike most Food Centres, it is not linked to a market selling groceries and other raw ingredients. It is well patronised in the evenings and is situated on a main road with a multitude of eateries. It has a decent mix of cooked food stalls....Some stall holders can be a bit abrupt if one asked for a menu item on display but not available. Not exactly a must visit destination.More

Free and reasonable toilets (gents) plenty of ice for beer drinkers, great food, reasonable priced. Interesting stalls.

We had fried dumplings, chilli chicken chicken wings and some other great dishes! Yum! Super cheap lovely food and good for the environment with plates cutley and chop sticks washed and reused.

I've eaten at 3 stalls here and had a good experience with all 3. I went to the Thai, grilled chicken wing, and dumping place and all 3 were winners.

We went for dinner one evening relatively late and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of stalls and tables kept clean. We opted for a stall doing Thai food and it was tasty. We ordered 6 prawn cakes thinking they'd be like the small fish cakes you...get in lots of places. They were huge and very tasty. I had the pad Thai and my husband had fish in a sweet and sour sauce. We also ordered the pak choi. All in all a delicious meal and a good price.More

The place serves very delicious local cuisine at very reasonable price. Satiate your hunger with the variety of food available in the market.
