A great delight to dine at this small but comfortable restaurant at the corner of Baghdad and Bassorah Streets where there is a good menu selection (especially for meat lovers), great cooking and attentive and friendly service.

This was our second visit. Our first visit was back in 2019 and we were since thinking to visit again. It was the same amazing experience like our previous visit but this time our daughter enjoyed more now that she's a toddler. The food is...the best in all the Turkish restaurants we've tried in that area. Staff was very prompt and friendly. They started by offering some chocolates to our daughter and also brought complimentary hummus with pita bread which was yummy. Loved the adana and beyti kabab. Ali Nazik was also superb (we ordered chicken dishes only). Kunefe was sooooo fresh. Will surely go back really soon again. If you're near Arab Street, do give this cozy place a visit. All covid guidelines are being followed.More
Excellent food and customer service. Need to book a table early esp for Friday nights and weekends. I booked late and ended with an alfresco table but it was loud on the road with car engines and fumes occasionally. The ambience inside the restaurant would...be a lot betterMore
Food was bad - no flavour to meat and they felt raw. Seating appears old and its cramped. Staff too shows attitude - they were keen to serve only delivery pick up's.More
Dear Manoj, Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent dining experience at IstanBlue Meze & Grill. I am truly sorry that you feel that we have failed to meet your expectations, but rest assured I will do my best...More
Food portions were generous, lamb kofta was delicious and pide left our tummies very filled and satisfied.
The falafel is a very good vegetarian option. Chicken shish kebab with pilaf rice was lip-smacking. Coupled with Turkish apple tea in a metallic tea pot. That was amazing. Lastly we finished our dinner it with baklava, an authentic Turkish desert. It wasn’t too sweet,...just perfect.More
Thank you IstanBlue. Excellent experience for my family who had mediterrnean cusine first time. Food is delicious and good, and everything order was finished and cleaned to the plates. Service is professional. If you do not know what to order, they will introduce.
Very friendly owner is a Turkish hence I am assuming this is authentic Turkish food since I have never been to Turkey. He and a fair skinned guy who served us made the dining experience a very pleasant one! Thank you for the great service....Platter for two was full of meat: 5 chicken joints, 2 lamb cutlets, lamb cubes, chicken, two minced lamb skewers. Love the lamb cubes and cutlets as we prefer fully cooked meats like these. Sadly Bulgur was not available though butter rice was fragrant too. Lentil soup is unique, seems like there is tomato added. The cheese "turkish pizza" is freshly made and full of mozzarella cheese (yummy for cheese lover like myself). Boss gave us complementary turkish tea which he mentioned is steamed and brewed. Very smooth tea! Chope has good discounts - do check it out!More
Yesterday was my 3rd time at this restaurant, but this time with I took two other friends for dinner. I tried the Ali Nazik 1st while my friends ordered lamb shish and spinach pide. All the dishes we ordered were very delicious, although the rice...(that was served lamb shish) was a little bit cold but the service staff gladly replaced it. The staff was very flexible and accommodating. Although I haven’t tried dolma, I totally disagree with one of the reviews below that all dishes were very tasteless which I think is not fair and a little bit biased in my opinion. Thumbs up IstanBlue!More
I came across the restaurant via Quandoo and read mostly positive reviews, however my experience was far from positive. I placed an order via the restaurant’s website an hour prior to the required pickup time, yet when I arrived to an hour later, my order...had not been processed. I was asked to wait for an additional 20-25 minutes. As I was in a rush and unable to wait, the restaurant agreed to waive the delivery fee and threw in free baklava dessert. While this was a nice gesture, the dessert was the only food with any taste! All the dishes we ordered (Manti, Pide, Dolma, chicken Adana and Shish Kebab) were uniformly tasteless. All in all, we had a terrible experience, but hope the restaurant can improve going forward!More
