Beautiful area with Open and full of light at the national gallery. Satay rendang was unfortunately too sweet, had tumeric. The green beans and crisp my papadoms was nice. The preserved vegetable called acar was too sweet as well. The Lou bak rice was better...but had huge fat portions- to be expected with pork belly. Amazing sauce, very nice tofu, beans and full boiled egg in soy sauce. Rather on the higher price end for food and drinks-$Sg 18 for a rice bowl dish and $Sg7 for soft drink. Service was ok.More
Food was generous and just the right amount of flavorful. Particularly loved the fries with kaffir lime mayo.
I recently visited Food For Thought in the National Museum of Singapore and I must say, it was a positive experience for me. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the service was friendly and attentive. I was impressed by the range of...food options available, and everything I ordered was of good quality. However, I did notice that during peak hours, the service can be a bit slow and the prices are on the higher side. Despite this, I would definitely recommend Food For Thought as a great dining option within the museum, especially for grabbing a quick meal before or after exploring the exhibitsMore
We had lunch here after touring the museum and before heading out to the next attraction. Three of us had the Grilled Salmon Quinoa Salad and it was really good. Good coffees and apparently a v good vegan coconut ice cream sandwich for the member...of our party who chose it.More
Make a reservation on a Saturday thinking it will be packed like many other breakfast places but surprise to be the only ones there at 10am. Enjoyed the peace for 1/2 hour before the next table was seated. Food was served promptly and tasted delicious.
Reserved a table for 2 at a specific location. They obviously do not take into account reservations. They shoved us next to a big group. The guy at the entrance was not apologetic at all, merely saying they were crowded that day. No shut sherlock....That's why I reserved a table at They didn't even have a reserved table for us.More
Great place to bring guests, especially foreign academics visiting SMU right next door. Service was good and I liked the idea that local cuisine (e.g. Loh Bak) was being served
Good ambience and service. The food portions were just nice for small eaters. Quality of food could be further improved.
We needed a place last-minute to host a reception for guests who attended our solemnisation because the previous venue cancelled on us a week before our wedding. We reserved tables via Chope for 20 people or so, and Food for Thought attended to such a...big group with as much haste and grace as given to the rest of the other diners while we were there. Food variety was very impressive and everything looked good, and the food itself in general was delicious too! Only thing is that it’s a bit pricey but that’s also expected for a place like this and its location. Husband and I will be back some other time just the 2 of us! Thank you again Food for Thought (:More
i like the carrot cake. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and I could spend a relaxing afternoon.
Good ambiance, food was pretty good and not super pricey too. Will definitely come back again in future.
We were looking forward for this meal, but was totally let down. When food was served, there were no utensils given, service crew was totally not attentive and not even noticing even when we were waving our hands high up. I had to walk to...the lady n ask for water and utensils -- and even took a while for the utensils. and forgot about the water! Food was also not hot, like it was forgotten to be served. Totally ruined our dinning experience!!!! I will not recommend this at all!!More
The restaurant was able to accommodate my group of 20 pax. Very nice ambience with the natural light coming in and soft music from the museum. Food selection was wonderful and satisfied all our palettes. Special mention to Evangeline who helped with my reservation and...even getting pre-orders for the large group which minimized our waiting time. Will recommend this place esp if you need a place to celebrate birthdays with a larger group of people.More
Tea time special at $11 for a hot beverage and a slice of cake. Just average. Leg rest for us actually before we resumed touring National Museum. Friendly Staff, environment bright and cheery. Look up ( where the escalators were) you can spot the moving...chandeliers .More
