A friend who lives here recommended this. After a lovely walk through the botanical gardens we found this unassuming little restaurant. The food was exceptional and the service fantastic. We had asparagus and broccoli, grilled with a little chicken, mayonnaise and gentle spices. I then...had a halibut en papillotte with delicious Asian flavours. Mainly Japanese. Lots of broth with mushrooms and veg. There was some rice with a little truffle mayonnaise which went surprisingly well. It was amazing. H had a crab spaghetti which was equally good. We both polished off everything and walked back to a taxi very content. Make sure to see the orchid garden while you are there. Oh and the wicket cricket mock tail was also very good.More

Quick coffee and small lunch stop after visiting the Orchid Garden. The staff are friendly and serve is good however, it was slow and we had to remind the waiters of our order. Besides that, it is has a lovely setting and good menu to...chose from.More

I really planning and using this place to celebrate my wife birthday. It was a 20min walk inside the garden to reach it but that walk to and home is really a nice time for my family to chill and connect. The meal dinner was...also really nice. Ambience, food and service were very nice. The blinking lighting due to the ceiling fan rotation was the flaw at that place. Food was so good and just slightly not enough, so much so that we cleaned each plate. However, when we got up to walk back to the station, the stomach felt full so the food portion was really sufficient. Thx you for making this a wonderful meal for my wife and family.More

The setting was as expected, tranquil. The menu was confusing. Could not tell you what cuisine Halia is going for. Saying that, the chef knows how to cook what is on offer but the menu needs attention. . We won’t go back.

We used to enjoy a drink, bites, sometimes dinner on the lovely outside deck of Halia during evening strolls through the botanical garden. However last time as well as this evening really dissapointed us. The drinks are different than before; they have added way more...ice cubes to the drinks giving them less flavour. The lychee-thyme is now mixed beforehand instead of the nice 'shot' of thyme you got to add to the drink yourself. The burrata was always nice as a bite to share with the different breads and crackers etc. but the dish unfortunatly has changed. We think perhaps the chef has changed, as well as the servicing staff. Something is off, not the same vibe and quality as a few months back. Seems commercialised now, and on top of that the prices have increased.More

The service is good but the food taste and quality is not worth the money. So many other places serves better food with similar services.

Monday night is not a big night but the inside seating was pretty busy. Looking good. We chose to sit outside. The setting is idyllic. The rack of lamb to share sounded good. The lamb was very good. Tender and tasty. The coleslaw was equally...good. The service was a little hit and miss but overall was not a place you would want to hang around. It was ok.More

It was a hot afternoon but it was very refreshing with cool breeze as we were surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna. Food was excellent although a bit pricey. Service was great. Highly recommend it.
