The food was not what I expected. The presentation was disappointing and the quality leaves much to be desired. However, if you are going for the beers, then they have a wide selection of local & imported beers priced reasonably.

Had dinner with family comprises of old and young children (13pax). Plenty of space for children and giving us the kampong feeling. Remember to bring inset repellent as it is outdoor dining - no air-con. Food is great and at reasonable price. Very good range of Beers! We had great fun, very suitable for gathering or have a couple of... More

Firstly, opening hours claimed to be 11.30am when i came on a Sunday (various websites indicated 11am) Both Nescafe and Chocolate Milkshakes were disappointing. Chocolate was too milky and Nescafe had an after-taste. Hainanese porkchop tasted what it should be and nothing to wow about. Fish & Chip was alright; plain ordinary. Sausage Bacon Egg and Chips was slightly better.... More

We are a frequent visitor to the Colbar and it is a great place for adults and children. Plenty of grounds for the children to run around in, but remember to bring the mosquito repellent. The café is set in an old colonial black and white converted house with alfresco seating and fans to cool you down. Don't expect any... More

Great little garden restaurant and bar, awesome selection of british beer and cider, affordable foods, safe for kids, tricky to find, but worth it...

Walk back into a 1960s NAAFI frozen in time with a menu, formula tables and atmosphere completely unchanged. A living museum where locals and expats alike enjoy British high calorie unspiced food just like granny used to make.

I'd heard great things about this place but honestly some things are better left in the past. It's basically a British army squadies NAFI (soldiers canteen) from the 1950's & nothing's changed since. The food wasn't great & neither was the service.

It's not in the menu so you would just have to ask for it but it's the bomb. One of the best I have tried!

The location away from the hustle and bustle makes this the perfect escape in Singapore. Highly recommended.
