I had an awesome dinner at Jaan. Everything cooked and presented was cooked perfectly. I have no complains. I might visit the restaurant again.

The dining experience at Jaan by Kirk Westaway was really special. I had requested for a window side table and we did manage to get one, though it was in the corner, which was a 4 on 5. The menu is quite nice and we...were really enjoyed the variety and presentation of each dish. The appetizers were delicious and I liked their presentation. The only 2 dishes that we didn’t like was the Pigeon (a bit gamey) and the 36 hour cured Wagyu beef (which I got as a replacement of the pigeon). To be honest by the time the mains came we were quite full with the food and the gorgeous Portuguese wine we drank. Each dish was really well presented, though the explanation of the dish by the serving staff could do with a bit more tuning. We had to ask a few times to explain what the dish was. Some finesse would be good from a Michelin 2 ⭐️ ⭐️ perspective. I must say that I really enjoyed Kirk’s representation of the quintessential British food…. Definitely unique and interesting with the flavors, textures and style. Overall, the staff was courteous and friendly. I would suggest them to consider serving some cheese along with a aperitif of some sort, as part of the experience versus the additional charge. The dessert was also delicious, I preferred the chocolate cake over the strawberry dessert, which was quite light and delectable as well. It was also nice meeting Kirk in person. I have dined in several top 50 Asian restaurants and this too was a nice box to check. The decor is a bit underwhelming, the white table cloth, flower selection etc. on the table needs to be spruced. We would like to revisit the place, perhaps for some lunch this time, so we can skip dinner that day given the amount of food we get to eat.More

Every course of the set was an interesting yet undeniably tasty mix of flavours. Service was friendly and top-notch (thanks to Glen and his team!), and the views of the city and Bay are amazing. The rye sourdough bread is one of the best we've...tasted so much so that we brought some home.More

Had the Summertime 7-course Modern British lunch overlooking the beautiful city view of Singapore. It was an impeccable experience from the beginning till the end of my time there with my friend. Food was well executed for their summer menu edition. Especially the “Potato &...leek soup”, “sweet tomato” and the main course (chicken). The soup was just simple and nice warm comforting dish that simply reminds me of home. With a strong start to the courses with a rather simple and beautifully plated “Sweet tomato”. Look simple. Sounded rather basic but soon after you had the first bite... the mind was blown off. The balance of the acidity and the sweetness with the overall texture was so well presented. I would really loved to have more of that! After which my next most beloved course was the main course, chicken. I must say, it was the best chicken that me and my friend had ever have it in Singapore. Highly recommended to try their cheeseboard too for an alternative to classic french cheeses. English should deserve their attention for that too especially the Devonshire cheddar cheese (that was where chef Kirk was from) we chose from their cheese trolley ! It was divinely delicious with such a lovely complex profile! Service was top notch with Rashelle that had kept us accommodating throughout our meal along with the manager, Glen that has been very hospitable and made us felt home and cosy all throughout the time. John the Assitant sommelier was too a very lovely charming guy. Overall, the team deserve a great compliments from their hard work and I’ll definitely be recommending Jaan for the modernised British cuisine.More

Where do I start? Ah yes, so after we were greeted and led to our table, in one of the best seats in the house, I can't help but feel intimidated by the place. But that was short-lived as the staff welcomed and made us...felt at ease. Normally, I'm not a fan of fine dining because of all the etiquette that you need to know and follow plus the small portions but damn (in a good way), they're were some of the best foods I've had. As mentioned, the staff were helpful, explained clearly what were eating and the best sequence to enjoy them. We even managed to get the man himself, Chef Kirk, to take our photos! So, when are coming back??More

My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Jaan. The views from the restaurant were amazing from our table at the window, and I was very impressed with the service. Even before we dined my emails and questions were answered in...a prompt and helpful fashion. The excellent service continued during our meal. All of the staff were friendly and attentive, and did a wonderful job explaining each dish to us. The staff happily offered a substitute when I informed them we didn't enjoy oysters, and I was also thoughtfully presented with a birthday cake and candle, which helped make the night even more special. The most impressive part of the evening however had to be the food. We absolutely loved it. There was not one dish we didn't enjoy, from the snacks all the way to the petit fours. I am a bread lover and was wowed by all of the different breads served - the flaky croissant-like roll with the soup, the salty, crispy parmesan toast that came with the egg dish and of course the loaf of rye sourdough. The cheddar pancakes and goose mousse tart were favourites among the snacks, even my husband who normally hates any sort of goose liver. We enjoyed all of the savoury courses, though if pressed to pick a favourite I would say either the baked artichoke with goat curd and jamon, or the guinea fowl. The flavour and texture combination of the first was perfection, all the sweet and salty and creamy and crunchy bits coming together in an absolutely perfect bite, and the second cooked to such tender, moist perfection that we barely required a knife. The crispy pork around the outside of the roulade added the perfect texture, and the braised leg with onion marmalade was soft and tender, and the sweetness from the onions totally made the dish for me. Desserts were equally divine, the ivory caramel is now officially one of my favourite chocolate desserts ever, I loved how all the different layers and types of chocolate worked together to form an essentially perfect dessert, and the petit fours were the perfect ending to the meal, each one better than the last, ending with that spectacular almond caramel truffle. It was great to see Chef Kirk Westaway out in the dining room as well, and the fact that he stopped by our table to check on our meal was a highlight of the evening. I've been raving about this experience ever since we dined to family, friends and colleagues, and can't recommend Jaan highly enough. It was an incredible dinner in an incredible setting, and I look forward to returning again soon.More

I always have a soft spot for fine British cuisine and Jaan is right up there with the finest Michelin restaurants in Singapore. The dishes starting from the complimentary snacks to desserts were well crafted and tasty. My highlight is definitely the ham and egg...dish. The price is also reasonable (160++) for a 5 course meal. Will definitely be back.More

Jaan is an exclusive and posh restaurant so I would not dine there with anything less than a nice shirt, trousers and dress shoes. So certainly no shorts and flip-flops for sure.

Yes, there is an a la carte menu but we order the chef’s degustation menu which was excellent.
