Came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Went in and their staff saw us waiting at the reception but none of them seem to know that even if they’re not the host staff, you can still welcome us and say you will be finding the...host for us while we wait. None whatsoever. Was seated down eventually and for some reason we were seated in a secluded corner even though the restaurant was empty. They had a part timer that seem to not have undergone any training as a waitstaff- She would stand directly behind us and peer over our shoulders, looking at our table for a good 5 seconds before I had to look at her and she would leave without saying a word, making it VERY weird. She would do this 4-5 times throughout the whole dinner and we found out that she was doing that to see if we needed a water refill. Still, stand at a distance and do so. Waitress could take orders but when asked questions about the menu/certain items of the food, she seemed disinterested and annoyed to answer further than basic short answers that seem like she just wanted to get it done and over with. Part timer came over to clear our tables and by that time we already gave up on trying to salvage our experience here. Then, she dropped our plates/cutleries on the floor while clearing them. We understand that mistakes like these can happen, but not even 5 minutes later, she dropped another table’s plates/cutleries again, causing unpleasant loud noises that adversely affected our experience. Our first dish came after quite a while. After finishing our first dish, we waited for 25 minutes for the second dish to be fired out from the kitchen. Basically if this was a first date or if you come here expecting to have a celebratory dinner, the 25 minutes of no food on the table after your first dish would be SO awkward. The food was a 3/10 - My salmon came dry and his steak (Ordered Medium Rare) came Medium Well, basically overcooked. Partner ordered his ribeye with bone marrow and the ribeye came separately from the bone marrow with no explanation why. We had to ask before finding out that it’s because the bone marrow needs more time- Staff weren’t proactive to find out for us why and to notify us about this. It was hard to get the attention of any waitstaff too that I almost wanted to get up and just look around for one myself. There were 3 waitstaff crowding over 2 other tables, 1 of them being their regulars. We were totally ignored by then. I made a note about how it was my partner’s birthday and I had to wait till he’s at the washroom before asking if there was anything that the restaurant would be doing for him. The waitstaff seemed shocked at this info and just said “Ya cake prepared already” before scurrying away quickly. At this point I think they completely missed out on the reservation special request and hurried along to make a cake with writings on a plate. It was honestly so disappointing that after sifting through 30+ restaurants, I picked Opus to celebrate his birthday and it turned out to be one of the worst restaurants we have been to. Not going there anymore definitely.More

Service was very good and steaks were fantastic! My steak came out medium when I had ordered medium rare. They took the steak back and cooked another one that was medium rare with no questions ask nor any awkwardness. One of my favourite steak places

Arrived late into the hotel and decided we would treat ourselves to a fancy meal. The food looked beautiful, but was average considering the price. Came here yesterday to have dinner at Opus Bar & Grill to celebrate my boyfriend birthday. The steak quality was not bad together with the recommendation sauces for it from the staff Patricia. The lobster bisque also recommended by her and it’s our favourite dish...soup too. On top of that she also refilled our water frequently and checked with us if we have any needs. Great service she had, friendly and very attentive to our table.More

Enjoyed the lobster bisque that was chockful of flavour. However, the quality of the angus rib-eye that was free-flow...on wednesday nights was way below expectations. Could just be mismanaged expectation of the quality of beef, but didn't feel it was value for money. Paid ~$178 for a lobster bisque and 2 free-flow 250g angus rib-eye.More

Was here for Sunday brunch. The cheese, beef, and fried xo carrot cake tasted good. Seafood was fresh. The sushi and appetisers looks abs tastes good too. The desserts in cups and in slices were however, too big a portion and we couldn't try all...of it as the portions are too big.More
