It was a great change from the usual restaurant experience in that I found the surrounding earthy and warm. I enjoyed walking round the produce garden, would have liked if there were labels to identify the different vegetation that were being grown. The chickens with the little chicks running around and mother hen nearby was the icing on the cake. I was disappointed with the "Black Cod", I love this fish that I cook at home when the season is in. The texture at the restaurant was unlike the ones that I usually have and the sauce that was covering the fish was far too sweet.

My wife and I enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor seating during our recent brunch experience.
However, we found the culinary offerings to be somewhat lacking. While the presentation of dishes such as the Burratina with chargrilled okra, chili garlic pesto and sumac was appealing, we felt that some elements of the flavors were not as pronounced as expected. Similarly, the Udon pasta with cacio e pepe and applewood smoked bacon which the pasta was slightly gummy, and the flavors of black pepper were not as prominent as anticipated as well.
On a positive note, the Hanger steak & fries were satisfactory, although we found the balinese pepper jus to be somewhat underwhelming. The service, while decent overall, did have some lapses, such as missed cocktail orders and delays in receiving our mains compared to neighboring tables whom order the exact same dishes.
Ultimately, while we appreciate the effort put forth by the restaurant, we feel that there may be other brunch establishments in the area that better align with our preferences.

The starters were great, but the mains were only okay. Both our dishes were lacking seasoning. I had the breakfast plate with eggs, lamb sausage, bacon etc. and the sausage lacked seasoning, the bacon was not crispy and the plating was a bit all over the place. The mushroom was also very thin, almost leather like. The service was not very attentive as we were trying to get their attention for some extra salt and pepper. I had high expectations that were unfortunately not met.

We reserved a table for a Sunday night. Only outdoor tables were available which wasn’t a problem. However when we arrived it was because the entire inside restaurant had been booked by a wedding party, leaving only a few tables outside. It would have been nice to have been told about this in advance. We were informed that the food would take longer than usual. We listened to the wedding speeches and various singing attempts by guests, and the dining atmosphere was dreadful.
We selected the omakase menu - 5 surprise dishes. They each arrived in quick succession with no explanation as to what each was until we asked. At the beginning we were asked if we had any dietary requirements or preferences, so that the chefs could make substitutions as necessary. I am allergic to shellfish - I was surprised when the crab in the crab spaghetti was substituted for nothing and was just omitted from the dish.
The deconstructed cheesecake was confidently introduced as chocolate fondant. Overall, the excellent (if a little expensive) food was let down by poor service and ambiance. Disappointing.

The service was very slow and not attentive at all. We also got several wrong dishes sent to our table and the waiters seemed very confused. The taste of the food was ok, but the portions were tiny taking into account the price we paid. With service and GST added to the price, we paid more than SGD 120 for lunch for two people, and we even left hungry and had to buy more to eat right after. There were also many birds flying around and eating from the tables and floor when guests had left their tables.

Waiters Raj , kevin and manager Jas made this place feel like a home. I highly recommend grilled Lombok fish as portions were fresh and generous . The same goes for their steaks. Their homemade butter with farmhouse bread is to die for. Staff are also exceptionally knowledgeable about wine pairing. Their menu may not be extensive but the quality is always full of flavour n surprises. The pomelo wild leaf salad could do with more punch as it tastes flat. Other than that, the ambience and service quality here top the charts for sure. We shall return!

Accidentally discovered this restaurant while searching for another restaurant at Dempsey Hill. The urban farming concept and having respect for food resonated with my wife and I. Decided to give it a try. OFC did not disappoint! We've been visiting Singapore once or twice a year for over twenty years. This eating experience beats the multi-star and Michelin rated restaurants we've dined at over the years.
Staff welcome you into a setting that feels like you're in the middle of a forest and farm land. Immediately one begins to relax. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Elected to be inside. We watched a parade of roosters, chickens along with numerous assortment of butterflies passing by outside.
There is a set lunch menu and an a la carte menu. Decided to go with the set menu. We had two appetizers, the barramundi, and the chocolate sake fondant. Every dish is pleasing to the eye and palate. Flavors and textures will put a smile on your face. Portions are just right for each course. Pacing of the meal was perfect for us, including a nice pause between the main course and desert. Another leap of faith was to have the team handle the wine pairings. Don't hesitate to hand over the wine selection - you'll be delighted with their selections.

I would say the food taste fantastic.
Chicken leg cook just right and tender .
However, quite a pity, for the price, I could not fulfil basic need of being full…
large plate only come with small chicken leg, some green bean and corn .
If they improve on quantity or add a sides, business should get better.

Open Farm Community is a great place to have sustainable good quality food in a comforting, lush, green location. The service was attentive and the menu changes regularly. My only complaint is the 90 minute maximum dining policy. For a weekend brunch with friends that’s not enough time. I understand that the restaurant wants to turn around the tables to get more customers - but at the end I predict they will achieve the opposite effect. If I want to have a quick lunch or dinner during the week - I will come back. If I want to spend quality time with my friends and enjoy the place - I will not come back. It’s a management decision to maximise profits. My opinion is that this policy will not work for customers who don’t want to be rushed.

We enjoyed every bit about our visit to OFC Minden Rd. The food was exceptional, the dishes were beautifully presented. I didn't realize I would get to like vegetables even more with the complete twist that they made with all the recipes that they have. We absolutely loved everything that we ordered. All the staff are attentive and friendly, and the service was top-notch! The place is stunning, cause the ambiance was perfect for a cozy Valentine afternoon. The atmosphere was so scenic and romantic like you're dating/dining in a jungle, that feeling when you're lost in the middle of nowhere and yet, still definitely relaxing. Highly recommended!

I went to Open Farm Community for the 2nd time to have brunch. I ordered drinks for half of the table and then 2 minutes later the other half of the table ordered drinks. We got our appetizer AND main course before all drinks were served. I had to remind 2 different staff members 3 times about our drinks. Then, when we were finished eating, the plates were not picked up for a looooooong time. Usually, when the wait staff picks up the plate, I will ask for the dessert menu. I had to ask for the dessert menu because I knew that our 90 minute time was going to be over soon and we needed to sing Happy Birthday to my friend. We FINALLY got our dirty plates picked up and we had dessert. We were then quickly rushed out of our reservation because the next reservation was there. I was really dissapointed with the service AND the food is really overpriced for what it actually is. The portions are tiny. Probably not going to go back to eat here.

We had the best Sunday evening dinner with family at this place, food was amazing. Big portions so definitely over ordered but got to try a lot of dishes (some being a tad pricey) but worth it for the change of scene from the usual style restaurants . Highly recommend the cauliflower wings if still on the menu when you visit. The location is very cute and just what I needed being recently moved from the Uk
We have a 10 & 7 year old , the staff were great catering for them.
A welcoming, relaxed vibe restaurant can’t wait to book again
Oh and we visited the cafe during the day on a separate weekend , coffee and food was again Delish and the perfect setting
We will return soon!

Took my partner to this place for dinner. We were very pleased with the presentation and taste of the dishes we ordered. The service and atmosphere were very good, too. However, the portions were quite small and we left the restaurant somehow unsatisfied.

Food taste was decent with very small portion and over priced.
Was encouraged to try the blind menu (Omakase) chef's choice but was dismal as the items brought out were from the standard menu. Probably due to underwhelming orders from customers.
What was unacceptable were the staff cleaning tables while we were in the middle of our meals. Service staff kept looking at our table in an attempt to hurry us. This was no later than 2.30pm.
The main spoiler was one of the waitress curtly placing the receipt on our table and walked off. Simply unacceptable and bad attitude.
Overall a terrible experience. For the price paid and quality / portion of the food, one would be better off eating at a fine dining restaurant instead.

Food was more than decent for the usual fare of western cuisine but wasn’t particularly creative. A table of 6, we agreed that crispy duck (mains) and cauliflower ‘wings’ (snack) stood out well for us but smashin’ pumpkin (side) was too soft and basic while mango in a coconut (dessert) was downright confusing and pretty much a waste of time. What was good was that waiters were attentive to refills of table water and bottled wine and were hospitable. Its wooden interior allows for a warm and cozy hangout with your loved ones as well as suits its farm-to-table restaurant concept, however also acting as a double edged sword as wood reflects sound waves more than it absorbs, hence conversations with your friends and family gets drown out by the amplified audio of other fellow diners. Overall a pleasant experience but missing the wow factor.
