We have been coming to this restaurant for a long time and now with a new chef, we feel that the standard has moved up a lot. We enjoyed a wonderful 5-course wine pairing dinner with wines from Fratelli Alessandria. Amuse bouches of raw king...fish, tuna with caviar and beef cake. Starters were freshly prepared venison tartare and sumptuous pan fried scallops. Mains included aged duck breast and spicy rendang wagyu brisket. Well complemented with cheese platter.More

I was very, very disappointed. With all the great restaurants in Singapore, I am surprised that this won a Michelin star. I think people speak with their feet, and the place was 80% empty on a weekday night. The food was quite ok, but you...can find such quality in mid-range restaurants. The service was good though.More

This is our 3rd time to Alma. 1st 2 experiences were good hence we came back for 3rd and it did not disappoint. We had the 5 course Tasting Menu. Overall food taste and presentation were great. Nothing over the top. The only down side...is the portion, which is for tasting literally. Hence the serving of potato bread at the side (add on upon request) is a nice touch. My teenage son, with a healthy appetite, is particular fond of the bread. Service, as usual, was attentive. On the whole, the whole dinner experience were great and we will be back many more times.More

Booked for my husband’s birthday. (Wrote this on online reservation, but no one seemed to know.) The quality of the food was excellent, perhaps deserving of the Michelin star. The servers were also attentive. However, the overall ambience of the restaurant was disappointing. The bright...lights that greeted us as we walked in reminded me more of a daytime cafe than a fine dining restaurant. I was also surprised to see other diners dressed casually in shorts! I thought, “This was a mistake!” It was also a bit noisy, partly because there is limited soft furnishings. Finally, the red carpet from the entrance to the restaurant looks tacky to me. That said, our cocktails — whiskey sour and daiquiri — were good, and the food was excellent. We shared the tofu and Angel hair pasta for appetisers, and the crispy toothfish and striploin for mains. We would’ve had the apple pie for dessert, but learned it would take 20min (this should be on the menu), so we left without dessert or coffee. At $200+ per person, I don’t think I would go back, nor would I recommend Alma for dinner. For a casual lunch and at a fraction of the price, I might be tempted to try it again.More

As a party of 5, we enjoyed every course of the wine dinner at Alma. From the amuse-bouches, to the perfectly done venison slices and Hokkaido scallops as starters. And the 2 main dishes of delicious chicken risotto and beautifully prepared aged beef tenderloin. A...wonderful meal finished with a cheese platter. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Australian wine from MollyDooker winery.More

This is my second time in Alma. Not a very fancy place but has a classic elegance and a good place where you can enjoy fine-dining food and service at down-to-earth prices. We came in a group of 4 and was recommended their newly curated...menu of a 2-course or 3-course executive lunch. We eventually opted for their 2-course executive lunch option which was reasonably priced and ordered separately their famous apple pie for dessert. As everything on the menu looks super tempting, we decided to choose different selections from each other just to check things out. Our 2-course executive lunch do come with a complimentary snack which sparks both our excitement and appetite with its multiple unique flavors. Next, we were served our favorite toasted hot potato bun that everyone enjoyed so much with their delicate butter spread. Then came the appetizers and mains that were so beautifully plated that we had to snap these delicacies with our phone camera before eating. Overall, I would rate the food quality as excellent as every bite have a wonderful mixture of textures and tastes that pleases our palate. We round off our meal with the apple pie which was delicious, not too sweet and a perfect combination with the ice cream that was served with it. Overall, it was a pretty good lunch. The service was terrific – staff was attentive and helpful. For this price and food quality, I will definitely come again and would recommend others to try at least once.More

It's nice to visit the newly renovated Alma. The whole place looks really fresh and stylishly simple and yet homely. Then I was pleasantly surprised by their new Menus that offer flexibility - you can choose ala carte or set. Then another surprise - >...Pocket Friendly Price! The food is fabulous - every morsel taste like a party in the mouth with lots of flavors - sweet, sour, spicy . All that titillate the senses. Don't miss the dessert. Then the range of wine and whisky is out of this world. We had a blast!More

I was excited and happy when I was told we were eating at Alma. The restaurant had a dazzling display of Macallan wines and an impressive display of Mitchell Awards. The Lobster Bisque with chives and crème fraîche was a rich and creamy delight, with...the velvety bisque perfectly balancing the sweetness of the lobster. The crispy skin of the Threadfin was delicious. It was cooked with Nyonya spice, onion soufflé and artichoke to perfection . The dish was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of spices, and the onion soufflé and artichoke added a lovely texture and depth to the dish. The dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The apple tart had a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess.More

When I enter the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by an impressive exhibit of Macallan whiskies. We had a short tour to understand the different type of whiskies. I choose the four-course gastronomic meal for me and my client. The Foie Gras ‘Torchon’ appetizer was...a fantastic start to the meal, with the delicate flavors of the foie gras expertly paired with the sweetness of the medjool dates and strawberry. The Lobster Bisque appetizer was equally impressive, with a smooth and velvety texture that was enhanced by the subtle notes of chives and crème fraîche. For the main dish, I choose the Wanderer Striploin. The potion is quite decent and the beef was cooked to absolute perfection and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Overall: Pleasant experienceMore

If you're looking for an awesome dining experience in Singapore, Alma Restaurant is the place to be. They are located in central Singapore, which is also easily accessible. For you Whiskey lovers, you'll need to visit! The sight was truly awe-inspiring and left me with a newfound appreciation for this renowned brand. The 2-course lunch meal with ala cart dessert. I ate the Lobster Bisque and Wanderer Striploin, which being my absolute favourites. The bisque was super creamy and the striploin was very tender. The dessert I had the Moutai "Flying Fairy" Ice Cream with Snow Nest, Haw Flake, and Strawberry Air is an exquisite dessert that tantalizes the taste buds with its unique blend of flavors and textures. The creamy ice cream, delicate snow nest, and fruity accents create a harmonious and unforgettable culinary experience. Great place for my date out!More

So, I had the an amazing four-course meal at Alma Restaurant the other day! The first course was Heirloom Cherry Tomato with olive chips and a light and refreshing tomato sorbet that was also super flavourful. Next up was the Lobster Bisque - which was...like a warm hug in a bowl! The chives and crème fraîche gave it this extra level of umami that was just perfection. For the main course, I went with the threadfin, which was cooked to perfection, and the Nyonya spice perfume was so fragrant and flavourful. The onion soufflé and artichoke added a nice texture to the dish, making it an all-around delightful experience. Finally, the dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. It was sweet without being too heavy, and it had just the right balance of flavours. All in all, Alma Restaurant exceeded my expectations and left me feeling completely satisfied.More
