We normally have Chilli crab in singapore, such a tradition and always so good. This time we opted for pepper crab, I haven't had that for over 15 years. Apparently these are people who started pepper crab in Singapore ( so I was told). And...they didn't disappoint, it was great, as were the steamed buns (another much have) and the seafood fried rice. Service was fine, lunch and not that many people around, The location along the river is also great. A nice walk after to help the digestion.More

Went there on 9th Aug to celebrate my mother-in-law's 73rd birthday. Staff are kind, friendly and courteous. Their chilli crab are fresh and nice. The staff recommended other dishes like smoked chicken and fried baby squid which are delicious. We received a pleasant surprise with...the free 寿桃 Only thing is we were given a non-aircon seating which was a little warm. Other than that, everything's great!More

Great seafood meal as usual. The razor clams were much larger this time. Seafood soup, luffa and prawn noodle were superb. Buddha jumps over wall tasty. Good ambience and great service by staff.

Been here a few times already. The lobster on promotion was great, others are just average. Last year during Chinese new year sign up as a premier member. Was told we got how much discount upon signing and during birthday month 20%. So this time...we used the rebate from last year ($50)to offset the total bill of about $570. Our rebate for next dining comes out to only $44. You may wonder why so little. Lobster $168 being promo is excluded. Only food items are valid for the 20%. Drinks are excluded. Rebate used ($50) was also deducted from the total bill . What made me frustrated even more is the charge of 10% on the redemption amount of $50. Checked with a guy called Ryan from the membership only drive me up the wall. He said quote”it’s all clearly stated in the terms and conditions, if customers choose not to read them, there’s nothing I can do.” Unquote. Such rude and arrogant remarks! After reading through the T&C from the website(now at time of signing as member these details are not in the letter) nothing is mentioned on the 10% charge. We felt cheated ! Having dined many times at Dempsey Hill we thought we would try the Robertson Quay Longbeach restaurant. To say it was a disappointment would be a major understatement. Once seated and before we had even ordered we were informed that we would have a maximum...of one hour and 45 minutes to complete our order and vacate the table. This was hardly conducive to a special evening of fine dining. We were also informed that all items ordered would be served at the same time and could not be served in sequence, again due to the time restraint on the table. While I am happy that the restaurant is so very busy especially with the influx of the tourists again I am bitterly disappointed in the deterioration of the longbeach quality of service . A review of the prices of the dishes and drinks coupled with this information from the waiter was all we needed to leave. Suffice to say we will not be returning there any time soon. Food was amazing! All very delicious. Service was very slow though, I had to ask for chili padi a few times, hard to get the staff to notice your had raised to get their attention. I guess this happens when resto is full.

I visited some work colleagues in Singapore and they took me here for an amazing dinner one night. It’s located right on the waterfront overlooking the ocean and is reputedly the best chili crab restaurant around. We were a large group so they ordered ahead...and we had several amazing dishes all to share. We had fried cereal prawns, local vegetables, fried rice, sea scallops and asparagus as well as the amazing crab covered in chili sauce. The server was nice enough to shell the massive crab for us so we could enjoy without the mess and it was amazing. For dessert we had a local fruit dish with vanilla ice cream served on top of dry ice which looked amazing smoking in the warm weather. The staff was attentive and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend them for an excellent dinner!More

We were at Long Beach Dempsey for seafood dinner with our Panamanian guests who have craving for chilli and pepper crabs having tried it over 15 years ago. Besides crabs, we ordered cripsy squids, drunken prawns, roast chicken and fried rice. The food was absolutely...delicious and service was excellent. We went to Robertson Quay & found this place to be a total rip off, poor service, ridiculously priced food & drinks but they don’t give a damn as they just want you in & out as quickly as possible so they can rip the...next guy off who probably won’t return. We will definitely not be returning but would give others a go in the same area.More

Quick service and good food available in this famous place in Dempsey hill. Lots of seafood of course, and also won-tons, and various meats. Must say we were disappointed by the pork ribs though as we were served a plate with various pieces full of...bones, cartilage and fat, and there was maybe 10% of meat only...More

Busy place in a good fun area of the city. Chilli crab amazing. Yes overpriced but excellent and fun meal. Prawns were nice too but can’t remember which ones.
