This restaurant is located inside the InterContinental Singapore hotel. We chose from the dim sum menu for lunch and were very impressed by the creativity, beauty, and tastiness of the dishes. As delicious as the food was, we were most impressed by the service here. Our waiter, Chris, was very helpful and extremely attentive. It was like he and the other food servers have X-ray vision and know from afar when our tea cups needed refilling. Also, he really cared to make sure that we were happy with everything (which we were, of course!). Would highly recommend!

Once upon a time, there was a couple (me and my partner) stumbled across this hidden gem of a restaurant. We were greeted by a myriad of staff members and ushered to our seats promptly with everything set in place.
Not only did the inviting atmosphere alluded us, the service crew has magically noted what I would order and food came even before i was even done looking at the pretty lights of the restaurant.
Overall, it felt like being at home where my grandma force feed me all the nice dishes she made and always told me that I still had space for some desserts.
Thank you so much for the service !

Visited Man Fu Yuan restaurant as part of restaurant week to celebrate my father's birthday.
The food, particularly the double boiled soup, was as great as I remembered it to be. I used to frequent this place as a child but it must have been close to 20 years since I last visited. The presentation of the dishes were unique and thoughtful.
Most importantly, I felt that the experience at the restaurant was enhanced by the attentiveness of the service staff.
Benjamin provided me with great help by organizing a mini surprise for my dad. I had brought a cake to the restaurant, not knowing that we could not consume it there due to covid restrictions. However benjamin graciously allowed my father to see the cake and blow his candle!
Maggie helped me to charge my mobile phone with the team's personal charger.
Beyond the food and the ambience of the restaurant, which were excellent, I think what makes MFY welcoming and worth returning to is the value presented by their service staff. Thank you so much and I will be back soon!

The Chope 1-for-1 set meal deal is not good value for money. With only 4 courses, the portions were too small. One of the course was roast meat and there were just four small pieces. The fried rice portion was also small. The supposed chef's special double boiled soup was duckmeat salted vegetable soup, very ordinary, not at all a chef's special soup. We paid close to $100 for 2 persons after GST and service charge!

Food was really good, worth the price. Crab, prawn, fish, scallop and the pork was fresh and succulent.
Chicken soup in coconut husk was really refreshing and we finished every drop of it. The dumplings skin was so soft and thin they looked like crystals, they tasted even better than they looked!
Ms Rene Tam explained every dish and the best way to eat it each time she served, and doesn't force us to order more in fact advised us to order only if its ain't enough towards to last dish. It was the perfect recommendation cause we were so full we could barely walk.
She also offered longevity buns with a candle to my hubby as we were celebrating his birthday there =)
Did I mention even the buns tasted awesome? =D

Went to Man Fu Yuan for a dim sum lunch on a recommendation from a friend. Was not disappointed by this quiet restaurant on the 2nd level of Intercontinental Hotel at Bugis. It might be a hidden gem, because the food here easily rivals those from some other Michelin Star restaurants in Singapore. Their black truffle har gao (prawn dumplings) and baby abalone siew mai are enough to wow.
What is better than the food is the service. Shirley and Rene took very good care of us with their recommendations of the menu, their attention to make sure our tea was topped up, and a special post-meal hawthorn drink to cleanse the palate.
I now have a new favourite dim sum hideout!

Ambient is cosy.

Spent my Dad’s birthday lunch here having their Dim Sum buffet. The staff are really friendly and helpful but I also feel like there wasn’t enough staff to go around. Maybe in the kitchen too. The serving time took really long. The seating was from 11:30am - 1pm, last order being 12:45pm which was kinda rush. I went in at 11:30am sat down and ordered around 11:40am. The first dish came at 12pm then was subsequently served 5-10mins apart. But the second order took awhile. 1-2 items were missed out but that was okay with us as the time was almost 1pm.
Dim sum was average no wow factor. The stir fried beef has a really good texture but was way too salty. The har gao (prawn dumplings) was disappointing.
Was very happy that they offered complimentary longevity buns for my Dad.

What a disappointment! My family and I have been to various Chinese restaurants over the last few years and our favourite was fully booked that day. We had decided to try Man Fu Yuan as we had not eaten there for a few years. The memories of why we had not had a meal there for a few years come flooding back.
We had booked the weekend Dim Sum buffet. Upon seating, we had ordered several dishes. The food arrived fairly quickly the first dish filled us with some expectations as it was the drunken prawns (the prawns were fresh and the soup was very tasty) but it was all downhill from there!
The rest of the food was fairly average and nothing to shout home about. We had ordered the mixed plater of roasted meats waited and waited and it never showed till the end of the meal when we ordered the desserts that it made an entrance! The Charsiew was nice (albeit 5 slices), some roasted duck and soy sauce chicken. I think this was the second-best dish amongst the array of dishes we ordered.
The service was average much what you would expect from an above-average restaurant touting to serve fine Chinese dining.
The ambience was average and hadn't changed much since we were there 6-7 years ago.
I would have given an average rating but I think for that price ... there are much better Chinese restaurants in Singapore.
I need to remember to avoid Man Fu Yuan in the future unless there are massive changes to woo me back!

Soothing and chill music, and the oysters were exceptional. The cod fish was unfortunately overdone. Tea was always refilled promptly without asking, as mentioned in title, great service by the staff!

Being a week night, it was a perfect time and quiet place to celebrate my daughter's birthday. During the pandemic, I knew that it would be inappropriate to bring my own birthday cake to the restaurant. However, Maggie was so attentive and responsive. She gave us a surprise by serving Chinese birthday buns with beautiful classic Chinese deco and with dry ice effect too.
I also find her knowledgeable of the tastes and ingredients of the dishes.. Hence, she could tell me the distinctive ingredient used in the sauce of their in house version of the sweet and sour pork.

I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but this has to be the most disappointing food I’ve had in Singapore thus far.
We went for the Sunday brunch, costing $68 per head.
Their signature dishes consisted of soft shell crab was tasteless and very greasy, and some king prawns in a broth, again tasteless and not nice. In fact, we left two of the king prawns, something I don’t think I’ve ever done in my life.
All of the food seemed to lack flavour and I regretted not going to a hawker centre for lunch.
The portion size for the dim sum was ludicrously large, and seemed to be quantity over quality.
We tried some meats which were served tepid rather than hot, and I had to take the skin off my duck, as it wasn’t in any way crispy.
The beef in black bean had a horrible texture to the meat and the sweet and sour chicken tasted worse than any take away dish I’ve ever eaten.
The only plus was unlimited Prosecco which, for an additional $38, was actually a nice tipple.

Had lunch on Sunday afternoon either a la carte dishes or dimsum buffet. We had a la carte dishes.
Shirley at the hostess desk was very patient with all the guests coming in at the same time:)
Joanne served our table and service was amazing! Lunch was very busy but service was seamless from topping up our tea to changing our plates. Will definitely be back!!

Be amazed by the gastronomic experience and service rendered by the hardworking attentive staff at this world class Chinese restaurant in Singapore.
Helmed by Executive Chef Aaron Tan, prepare to enjoy your meal in most outstanding fashion and exploration of delightful Chinese flavors. I will not hesitate to visit for every meal, menus are regularly updated with surprise and sensation for my taste buds.
Was served by the company of outstanding staff at Man Fu Yuan and I like to highlight the exemplary service, attention and courtesy rendered by MAGGIE and RENE. My wife and I enjoyed every moment of our dinner and look forward to be back again to savor Chef AARON latest inventions.

I went here with my colleagues for lunch, it is the best Chinese food I've had. The dishes are quite unique and presented uniquely too. We were a large group of 9 people and we had an amazing time discussing the food. The fish was amazing and the fried rice was very different than the usual and nice. The soup served in the coconut was really good & flavourful. It's fine dining so the service was also up to the mark. And obviously it's pricey!
