I love the old school feel of this place. Makes me nostalgic of the 'Cha Chan Teng' found in the streets of HKG. The Dim Sum here boasts the same quality standards and authenticity of HKG restaurants. Especially their BOLO Paos

This small local eatery serves Hongkong style Tim sum...Overall, the food tasted pretty fine but the price is considered on the high side like eating in a Chinese restaurant. You have to order and pay cash at the counter before the food is being served....No much service on the wait staff. Decent Tim sim to try it out.More
Visited Victor’s Kitchen with some friends and ordered a selection of dim sum, some of which were nice, but others quite average. The ones which stood out for me were the steamed yam cake and the salted egg custard bun. My friends really liked the...crystal buns but I found the peanuts a bit hard. The panfried cheong fun was nice, but could have been fried a bit more so it’s more crisp. The chicken feet were a bit odd, as they were not like the normal dim sum variety but was braised, with some veg on the side. The restaurant has two shop spaces within the building and the second serves as a excess dining area for customers. I thought the dim sum was generally decent, but nothing to shout about.More
Food overrated and not cheap in comparison to some restaurants. Very rude staff, do not go. Clear the dish that you had finished immediately even you are still eating. Explain to the auntie patiently but she replied: “ Wait till the food spill on you...then say”. Inform the other staff about the bad attitude but in vain as his attitude is not much better. There are a lot better options in Bugis so do not waste your time. If there is a zero score, I would give that.More
Brought some overseas guests here for lunch as they wanted dim sum, and they enjoyed most of the dishes. So much so that they said they would return on their own. The food was freshly made and tasty. The female staff were also very friendly...and also took away empty dishes promptly to create more table space. Total for four was $96.More
Chance upon this eatery after a few drinks at a bar opposite. The interior is really basic - plastic stools and all, looking a bit messy if I may even add. But the guests just keeps coming in. So I Guess the food must be...quite decent. So we ordered the usual dim sum fares, like siew mai, carrot cake, lotus leave glutinous rice, porridge etc. For the price, I would say is fairly decent. It certainly didn’t wow us, but can say most items are ok.More
Very small restaurant and expect to wait with queue especially during the peak lunch hour. No reservation would be needed and first come first serve. Serving traditional Hong Kong dim sum but limited choices . Steam carrot cake , braised chicken feet and hawkou are...amongst the best. The rest is quite normal like siew mai and steamed chicken rice wrapped with special leaf! Order over the counter and table is on the sharing basis. Enjoyable lunch place..but expect to squeeze and queue !More
Chaotic seating in a very small cramped area. Very difficult to find as it is in a large building/plaza with no indication or signs pointing the way. You can give up trying to find it by the street number as well. When we arrived we...were the only non-locals. An experience not to be missed if you like to eat like a local. It reminded me of Dim Sum places in Hong Kong decades ago. Service is fast. The idea is to eat and run. You pay before getting the food, which is served by the granny brigade. Overall very pleasant and helpful. The items are usual dim sum dumplings but they also have signature dishes like the lava custard bun. Worth a visit for the atmosphere, be patient as in many popular small restaurants there are long ques.More
A mess when it comes to getting customers a table. We got 5 staffs asking us how many pax b4 we finally got a table. The staffs don't seems to have something to do specifically but all over the place. Not to mention I've got...2 groups of people behind me who got a table first. 2 pax i understand. But i had 3, the one after me had 4. both of us still have to take a 4 sitter table in the end. So why do they go b4 me ?????? Not everything is delicious. Porridge is watery. I don't know why are they so popular and crowded when yumcha is even better. In terms of service and food quality.More
I got taken to Victor’s Kitchen on a recent trip to Singapore. It isn’t exactly the easiest place to find but is obviously well known to foodies in the know. The dim sum was excellent- better than I expected. When you factor in the price,...it’s great value. Very impressed overall with the quality of the food and friendly service.More
My favourite Bo lo bun! Always order and recommend to my friends. wonderful Hong Kong dim sum, nice place, value price!
Having spent a few years in China we were looking for an authentic, no frills dim sum experience in Singapore and we we’re not disappointed by Victor’s Kitchen. The baked bbq pork buns, prawn dumplings and soup dumplings (xiao long bao) are highly recommended. We...were the only foreigners in the place and the staff were extremely helpful re navigating the menu. The place was packed (always a good sign) and we had to wait - only a short time, though - for a table. Victor’s Kitchen is on the ground floor of a building (Sunshine Plaza) with no evident external signage. Looks for a traditional Chinese Medicine shopfront and there is a door next to it into the shops and restaurants on the ground floor. It’s a simple eatery but is clean and very tasty.More
Went for dim sum lunch at Victor's as it was recommended by a friend. There were no signboards and it is inside Sunshine Plaza on the ground floor. The tables and chairs are very close to each other and we were there during lunch. If...you are sitting inside, the aisles are too narrow and you have to practically climb over or the ask the diners to give way. It is really very narrow place. We had their popular glutinous rice with chicken, golden lava buns, yam cake, steamed carrot cake and pork ribs. The potion was small on the pork ribs and the golden lava buns were sweet for my taste. The glutinous rice was nice but i find it a tad salty. Overall, it was ok food and spending $40 for 2 is a great deterrent for us. The aunty serving us were friendly and very efficient. Kudos!More
Their menu is quite little compared to others and is more pricey. We ordered just a few dishes and it's like $54+ Their carrot cake isn't like the normal kind? It's steamed. Their xiao long bao is huge! Way too big. Compared to last time,...the quality seems to have drop.More
love everything i ate here and really like how extensive their menu is. so much variety and all delicious as well. really love the salted egg yolk bun because it’s served piping hot and the filling just oozes out when you bite into the bun....highly recommend!!!!More
