We are Singapore's only authentic Texas barbecue, smoking our meats fresh daily, low and slow overnight for you to enjoy the next day. We start with the highest quality meats available, like whole wagyu briskets we get delivered daily. Add some of our super secret rub (hint: it's salt and pepper) and toss them in our custom-built smoker from Dallas, Texas for up to 16 hours. After that, what you've got is the most authentic Texas barbecue around. There’s nothing fancy about it, and we'll do away with the pretensions that plague restaurants throughout Singapore. Just good food, generous drinks and great tunes, available for dine in, takeaway, home delivery and catering.

A bit strangely located, almost on the outside of a residence building. However, great american barbecue food served in a relaxed way. Separate beer fridge, where you go and pick of your own choice, then pay for the empty bottles.

Yummy Meats!

We had the Decker Feast for Two for our party of two, opting for the wagyu brisket, wagyu burnt ends and pork belly burnt ends as mains and mac and cheese, fries and guacamole as sides. As per our previous two visits, the food was top-notch and we totally enjoyed our time there. The seating area at Decker is outdoor and limited and the restaurant almost always requires a reservation. Book early to avoid disappointment.

casual restaurant with friendly staff. I enjoy all the dishes and beer selection. I love the baked beans, ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, unlimited coke, and the open style seating...It is just 5 mins walk from home....wonderful!!!

Disorganised and rude service

Made a reservation for 3 pax 8.30pm. Reached the restaurant at 8.25pm . Told to wait 5 mins saying that the table was being cleared. 20 mins later we were led to a high bar table which was meant for two. It was next to impossible to fit the food meant for three on the table . We highlighted this to the waitress who then said they will be clearing the table soon and we would be given the table. She gave us some nachos and chips on the house as a means of an apology. 15 mins after that we were told that a party of five were waiting earlier and that the table coming up next would be given to us. However when that table came up it was given away to. We had enough and decided to leave the restaurant. Instead of any attempt at service recovery we were told by the manager that we the customers had to be flexible and try to eat at the bar table. Such high handedness.

We are so fortunate for our guests and the fact that we have been able to take care of them for over 6 years now. With hundreds of 5 star reviews and a rating of 4.4 out of 5 on Google we are very grateful for all the feedback we have received over the years both the good and the things we need to improve on. As you can see we regularly receive good reviews and when we don't we are very eager to get things right and improve as a small business. One of the big reasons we have been able to survive in a very competitive and ever evolving industry in Singapore is the fact that we listen to our guests and always strive to get better and better. The way we can do this is by the hard work of blood sweat and tears of our team. Having a happy and safe place for our staff to work is of the upmost importance so they can also feel happy to pass on the good experience to our guests, The fact that you come in and swear at our staff and refuse the service we are trying to offer and then come online and completely change what actually happened is very sad especially in todays times with all the struggles businesses are going through. We only want guests in to dine with us that are also going to treat our staff with respect and understand that we are all human and should not be treated less than. Our guests that have dined at Decker know the service standard we aim for and will see straight through these reviews no matter what names you use or how you orchestrate the fake reviews. I would be glad to have a chat anytime if you feel that you would like to apologise to the staff for swearing at them. Once this is done we would be more than happy to have you in for dinner as it would be our pleasure to cook for you anytime. Sometimes you just need good old fashioned southern american cooking to break up a trip. That's exactly what we got at Decker BBQ. Right in the heart of the dining precinct in Robertson Quay, Decker is fairly unassuming. Tables outside in a courtyard but it can get busy so recommend booking on weekends. The menu consists of all my favourites, slow cooked pork, chicken & brisket. Plenty of sides to compliment the slaw which is made without drowning in sauce. The meat all cooked to perfection. Beers nice & cold. Would definately come back here great food, and pretty reasonably priced.

Sorry to hear about your experience. We have those items available each day (turkey only on Saturday and Sunday) but we have a very limited quantity and sell out quickly on those two items in particular. We run Decker like an authentic American BBQ joint. We cook a certain amount of meat each day, and when it runs out, it runs out. In terms of Monday, our hours are posted on our website, Google, all social media accounts, and here on TripAdvisor, so sorry you didn't see that before coming down to Robertson Quay.

Genuine Texan Barbeque open air in singapore. Great food at affordable prices. The barbeque meat, especially brisquet and pulled pork are the real thing. Totally informal, but good quality. Nice selection of beer and good music.

I've lived in Texas, so I know Texas BBQ. Decker is legit, and delicious, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food is simply delicious, and you will find one dish beyond the standard Texas fare, which is the pork belly burnt ends, which are incredible. If you like meat, eat at Decker, especially if you have never tried "low and slow" BBQ.

Good Restaurant for Family Dinners

For our family of 8, we had the Family Feast platter for 4, which included chips, guacamole, salsa, wagyu brisket, pulled pork, spare ribs, smoked chicken. Comes with 4 sides which we had coleslaw, macaroni cheese, kale salad, brisket baked beans. Also comes with 2 desserts which we took apple cobbler and banana pudding. We added starters like buffalo wings (quite spicy for young children), deep fried cauliflower florets and Decker rice bowl. The pulled pork and spare ribs were juicy and tasty but the other meats were a bit dry and not very tender. Reasonably priced beer and good selections. Total cost: S$370

Arrive and big Covid19 concern, tables super close to each other. Clearly not caring about health only profit. Food: All meat was served lukewarm and chicken was half cooked. Tiny portions. Service personnel didn't care. Feel like they were overwhelmed. Said happens a lot. The manager a big guy, came over and got rude, told us we are lying.

Decker BBQ fantastic!

The moment you walk in, it’s relaxing, it’s welcoming, it’s everything you need to celebrate a great day. The service is fantastic from all the staff, Edera was knowledgeable, engaging and made our night so much more. We felt like family! The food: brisket, pork belly ends, fried cauliflower, coleslaw, fried chicken, Mac and cheese was fabulous. The drinks were reasonably priced and quickly replenished - you’ve got to try a pickleback!!! Highly recommend!

Twice disappointed

The First time I arrived for lunch, the didn't have Turkey then I asked for burnt ends and they didnt have that either, even though Both were on the menu. Do I stopped asking and had a warm beer and left. The second time I came for dinner at 7 PM on Monday and the restaurant was Closed ! Very poorly managed restaurant, and it's losing a lot of money and customers because of the poor management.

No Southern Hospitality

Food was great, good beer selection and the place is cozy. Just a shame that the staff completely fails on Southern Hospitality. Less than 45 minutes at the place, beer still 3/4 full, I was asked to pay up and 5 minutes later told they needed the table - that’s just plain rude. I was offered a seat at the bar, but sorry, I wasn’t even there for 1 hour and nobody told me they needed the table in 45 when I came. You can have hiccups in the kitchen and with service, but being rude to customers is a no go for me. Won’t be back.

Roger, sorry for your poor experience at Decker a few nights ago. Obviously your experience was unacceptable. There was a miscommunication amongst the team, so that they thought you had been told the time we needed the table back. So when the time limit expired, they assumed you knew of the situation. We inform almost every table every night of the normal time limit on tables (which is 90 minutes, but we will quote shorter times like 45 minutes for walk-ins if we have a gap between bookings) but we made a major misstep in your experience. We work hard on our hospitality and generally have lots of praise for our service, as you can see from our feedback on Google and Trip Advisor. I hope that you give us another chance, as your experience is not how we normally handle a customer service issue.

Pork ribs that slips off the bone!

Glorious American (Texas) BBQ. Well marinated, flavourful, tender. The Wagyu Brisket was falling apart. The meat on the Pork Ribs just slipped off the bone, I don't know why they bother providing knives here. I preferred the ribs better, but both were amazing. Generous portion, this was a platter for 1 but was shared by 2 of us. We chose the potato salad and Coleslaw for sides and both were on point. Added the Dirty Fries (Pulled Pork on a bed of fries) which was an appetiser but somehow in the size of a Main. They've got some interesting selection of beers here too. Overall, an excellent meal and this will be my go-to place for BBQ meat from now on. Till I find the next better place at least.

BROUGHT ME STRAIGHT BACK TO TEXAS!

Since we are on lockdown I decided to order. It was a gamble between this restaurant and another famous smokehouse. First time ordering from them. The beef brisket was so tender and juicy so were the ribs. The max and cheese is so authentically American. The bbq sauce was perfect not too tangy not too sweet. I’ve tried a few upscale smokehouse and bbq restaurants but hands down the best bbq meat I ever had in Singapore. Would highly recommend this restaurant. So uniquely American not those gimmicky ones for sure. It reminds me of the time when I was living in Texas.

Sad dismissive customer service but pretty decent brisket.

It's a real pity that this place that serves up pretty decent Q is lacking tremendously in the customer service department. We dig casual and down-to-earth places but when the waiters display insolence, dismissive tones and when you feel like you're obviously a sideshow in their preoccupation in socialising amongst themselves, you know that if you ever come back, it's simply for the food which hopefully stays consistently good. The ambiance doesn't save the day either. Wooden tables on a sidewalk, practical but charmless. On a lazy saturday, our table for 6 was sticky and as mentioned, waiters seemed happy to roam around the restaurant back and forth, chatting animatedly away but when you did grab their attention for anything, you got bored expressions and zombie postures. As said, a real pity. Spruce up the seating area and throw in some sunny dispositions.... it would do wonders to this restaurant's offerings. We wont know if it'll ever be done cos it's our first and last time here. However, if we ever hanker for their lovely brisket, we'll arrange for a home delivery.... and we hope that it'll be as good as we remembered it to be.

Sorry that you had a bad experience with our hospitality (or lack there of). Obviously, we take our service seriously and want to create a fun, warm environment like you would have a traditional American BBQ joint. Clearly, we fell short on your visit. We don't want customers to see our staff with "bored expressions and zombie postures". If you would like to, you can email our GM at howdy@deckerbarbecue.com to provide more information. No restaurant is perfect and mistakes can happen, but we always aim to learn from our missteps and get better moving forward. In regards to the restaurant set up, we have some improvements coming to the interior design, though it is challenging as we are hampered by the building situation in terms of hanging things, painting, decor, etc.
