The design and setting of the restaurant is first class, however the food just wasn’t that great. The staff were friendly and attentive, although asking for your order when carrying other tables dirty plates was slightly off putting. The dishes were large, but nothing special,...and I suppose for the rating and reviews I was expecting more. The starters came out in 5 mins, and mains arrived even before starts had been cleared. Too fast paced. A few improvements would see this restaurant score higher!More

The food was nice, but not exceptional, with the starters having been deep fried to a point where the cuisine suffered. The wine selection was reasonable. What stole the show was the level of service, the attention to detail, and the fantastic decor....

Food was delicious and surprising, but service was even better, attention to details, anticipative, fast, ... which is not always the case in Singapore. Congrats to the team

To me, it's overpriced food. Many who likes it. Just won't head back for food. Not value for money..

Our first time at Violet Oon. The service was impeccable. The amount of effort put in to welcome us and to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and our meal was just awesome. Definitely left a memorable first impression.

We had the most delicious meal at this beautiful location last night. The service was amazing. The location dazzling. The decor stunning. And the food was sublime. It’s a must go for any tourist coming to Singapore.

A unique restaurant to try out local Singaporean Peranakan cuisine. The food was sumptuous and full of flavours but be careful not to over order as most dishes are rather heavy and filling. The decors of the restaurant have a nostalgic feel to it, as...though going back in time to 1970s. Good ambience for business or family dinners.More

The places is not big (book in advance) and was packed at Saturday lunch. Very nice art-deco ambience and service is attentive. This locations feels somewhat more luxurious than the other locations (of the same restaurant) being in the museum grounds. Great for dates, business...lunches and small groups. The food would be the same as other VO restaurants - good quality spicy and flavorful food, I highly recommend the Ngoh Hiang and the Chicken Satay - the marinade and the satay dipping sauce is divine.More

Beautiful setting but food was quite spicy. Also when I last visited there was a mixed offering of Pandakan and traditional afternoon tea treats. This was my expectation and I was disappointed.
