About
Established in 2008, House of Seafood is a household favourite and an icon in Singapore’s seafood restaurant industry. Since setting up its first branch at Yio Chu Kang (Singapore), House of Seafood has expanded to five outlets in Singapore, Cambodia and Malaysia. Today, House of Seafood is internationally renowned for its Singapore-style crabs and its commitment to product and service excellence. House of Seafood is the first and only seafood restaurant in Singapore to make available ready-to-eat crab through crab-dispensing vending machines. This change in the local food scene was made possible through the use of its innovative vacuum-pack technology, which seals in all the flavours of its signature crab dishes in ready-to-eat packs. Looking ahead, House of Seafood aims to bring these ready-to-eat products beyond the shores of Singapore.

Went to Clarke Quay for their crab promotion before and we got the $50 return voucher so we decided to use it for the celebration for mother's day. Didn't clearly read the t&co but staff was kind to explain it to us. Overall probably because we requested extra spicy therefore taste better than Clarke Quay but still if anyone likes spicy foods then please ask for it to be extra spicy!

Out of our curiosity and Not sure what to eat during this Phase 2 (heightened alert). We decided to pre-order the Chilli Crab Meat in Da Bun and Curry Chicken da bun from House of Seafood. We are impressed by the taste and packaging of these buns which we pre-ordered one day in advance. The Chilli Crab Meat in Da Bun was incredibly tasty. The freshness of the chilli crab meat is very fresh. We were shocked to see real crab meat in the sauce as we did not expect that at all! ( you can really taste the crab meat). For Curry Chicken da bun was nice too. They really bring the curry chicken flavour to the next level. The spiciness is acceptable as well. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the thickness of the bread is just nice {not too thin or too thick}. They even come with individual cooler bags which keeps the food warm, and delivery was smooth as well. Will definitely order again!!

If I could do it over, I would have gone to Jumbo Seafood instead. This place was mediocre and overpriced for what you get. They charge 4 dollars for the small dish of peanuts and pickled vegetables that they bring without asking and 2 dollars for the wipes and gloves if you are eating crab. Crab was good but spring rolls were inedible — tasted straight out of a package, fried rice was tasteless, and brocolli was good but at 18 dollars for a large size, which was actually not very big, it seemed overpriced. We enjoyed the crab, but be prepared that it is 120 dollars a crab. Would not recommend. Service was nowhere to be found except when they were taking our order. Didn’t see anyone after that.

Came here with my family (14 people total) for our annual Chinese New Year reunion dinner. We weee very disappointed with the service as we booked the table at 7.30PM but were only able to be seated at 8.00PM. Adding on, we had the set meal for 14 people (48 x 14) but the portion they served was only made for 10 people. What was worse is that when we confronted them about this due to seeing the portion size being the same as the table of 10 beside us, the restaurant refused to increase the portion size and staunchy insisted that the portion size was made for 14. We could barely fill half of 12 bowls of rice with the fish they served, could I be any more disappointed? Furthermore, the cleared away my Chili Crab dish when there were still food on it without asking us ! However, I would like to say that the restaurant did help to play birthday music and hold a sign for my grandfather’s birthday, the only thing that they did right. All in all, I hope no one ever comes here after reading this review.

For those considering this place for online order, please save your money. Servings doesnt justify the price, it is very pathetic. Shrimp Paste Chicken $14/$20/$26 I ordered large because 7 people were eating. What was received is 10 small wings. Not even the drumlets to accompany it. When I called to clarify, lady said 6/8/10 pieces respectively. You pay more and get less, might as well order 2 small. Stir Fried French Bean with Shrimp $12/$16/$20 Ordered medium, serving came as though its small. Vegetable at this price but they can't be reasonable with the portion. Fried Longevity Noodle $28/$38 They only come medium or large. Ordered medium. The noodle portion is as good for 2 person, max 3 if all small eater. I have been to the restaurant a couple times before CV19, but this time was really disappointing. Now I understand why they do not allow reviews on their FB page.

I want to share my bad service experience on your online platform, I place an order the Crabmeat on a bun Salted egg flavour, however it’s been an hour I never receive any response that they acknowledge my order, no confirmation. I still kept on following up however sad to say no response till after 4hours plus then asking me if I submitted the form, it was frustrating for a first time customer that experiencing like this. Rather than asking me if I submitted the form, they are not checking properly all the new incoming orders? Or it is just really small orders they don’t even bother for it? I’ve usually order my food online; however this is my worst and very unprofessional/Impolite experience. I’ve called on to ask if they receive my order, when I am still talking the lady name ANGEL was so rude, cut me off and telling me sarcastically YOU WANT TO ORDER OR NOT! I was so shock when she told me that. What kind of customer service she have? Do not know how to listen to their customers and just ranting like nobody’s business. I decided to cancel my order instead. I think management should look after this kind of attitude and behavior of an associate. No passion at work, very bad customer service and very impolite staff. However, I tried to place an order again the next day to try my luck, unfortunately Failed. No response, no follow up very bad, nobody get back to my online order. Just wondering, on how they handle online orders? Are they not checking all the new orders that came in? Some points that should look into it seriously! I heard from my friends that your food was amazing that is why I want to try. However, what is good food when at first of contact is disaster already. Disappointed customer!

Food was horrible, not hot and tasted bad. Chicken claw bad something inside that tasted sour and off. To add on, we ordered 1 jug of water and was given the option to add up to 10 glasses. However 1 jug of water cost $2 and yet only fills 3 glasses of water. Yet 1 glass of water only cost 30c. When asking the waitress abt this, she said it was up to us to order but did not clarify on how much one jug could fill. Yet when we asked if we could change to 3 glasses instead in our bill she insisted we already ordered 1 jug alr. Attitude was horrible and condescending. But honestly food aside, would not have been so bothered to leave a bad review if not for rude attitude of waitress.

I made a reservation on 5th May for the 50% Crab Promo and went there today. When I was ordering my dishes, I reconfirmed with the staff on the promo just to be safe. Luckily I asked, the staff immediately told me it’s not available. Then continued by explaining that there’s only bigger crabs today and asked if I want to order that. (The restaurant knew that my reservation was made under the promo as I saw a note on their reservation list. So they actually didn’t bother to call and inform.) After speaking to a few staff about this, one of them later told me that there’s 1 piece of the crab under the promo that was “set aside for me”(clearly not the case). I took up that 1 piece anyway since I’m already there. After a long wait, the crab was served. Was pretty disappointed when I saw it. Firstly, there wasn’t much sauce at all (see photo). Secondly, the crab tasted like it was boiled separately then tossed briefly with the sauce only. Lastly, it not fresh. I’ve been a loyal customer of House of Seafood for years now. I used to bring my parents there for their birthday yearly. It’s truly disappointing to find out today that they have to resort in such dishonest business practice and serving lousy food. After eating, my partner and I both felt nauseated. Never going back ever again.

Went there with my family for dinner. Had to wait for awhile as only the supervisor could take food order; the rest of the staff only took order for drinks/served drinks. When the supervisor finally came to our table to take our order, we felt hurried to order our food. Had to order in a rush which was already quite an unpleasant experience for customers who want to enjoy their dining experience and have a relaxing dinner with their family. Our two crabs and vegetables came awhile later. However, our staple food, fried rice, was not served at all. We’d wanted to wait for the fried rice to be served so it could go with the other side dishes and crabs. To our utter disappointment, the fried rice did not come. We were quite hungry by then so we decided to eat the other dishes first. We informed 6 staff about the missing fried rice and the only response we got was, “It’s coming. Wait awhile more.” Worse, some of the staff did not even get back to us. We waited. Our staple food was still not served. 1.5 hours after, the fried rice was still not served. By then, my family was already starving. We decided to cancel the order as we were done with the other dishes. We called for the supervisor but the assistant captain, Le, came to our table instead. We told her about the matter and she told us she would check. She told us she was not informed about the matter at all despite us having told so many other staff about the matter. Come on, if that was the case, House of Seafood should do something about their management. Customers should not be bearing the consequence of bad management. We would not wait anymore so we proceeded to cancel our order. Le apologised and waived the 10 percent service charge for the lack of proper service. When making payment at the cashier, the supervisor, who’d taken our order earlier, was there and handed us the bill. She could tell us she knew about the matter but she did NOT apologise nor seem apologetic for the mistake House of Seafood made. Instead, all she said was, “The chef made the fried rice but someone sent it to the wrong table.” This is astonishing. Knowing the mistake made, NOTHING was done about it and she merely allowed the mistake to happen and NO ONE could inform us about it at all? For 1.5 hours? It seems that House of Seafood could not own up to their mistake. Couldn’t they quickly fry another plate of fried rice and quickly serve us the food, instead of keeping quiet about it for 1.5 hours and making their customers go hungry? This feedback serves as a warning to all potential customers. If you don’t mind risking having an unfulfilling and unsatisfactory dinner, you can try going hungry at House of Seafood.

Service was quite prompt as we had a late dinner and there wasn't alot of tables as well. Beside the normal 'zichar' and seafood menu from House of Seafood, they also offered Mookata here. Their plating of the Mookata is uniquely special, it's like having high-tea in a hotel. Food wise is quite normal, nothing to shout of.

Many choices of dishes, especially seafood with crab cooked in different styles. The salted egg crab was delicious although the meat was sticking to the shell. The deshelled salad prawn is very nice while the braised ee-foo noodles was average. Nonetheless the service was most excellent and the straits view was marred by the factories in Pasir Gudang.

If you don't speak Chinese, get ready to have a hell of a time communicating because barely any of the staff understand English. When we booked via call, the person cut us off before we could finish talking. We ordered drinks, but it did not come until we called the staff 4 times. Some of them just outright ignored us without even asking another staff to help us. We also got charged for 3 drinks we did not order on our receipt- luckily we noticed it and had them change it immediately. Please check your receipts carefully! The fish we ordered was $70, but the portion was not much. While overpriced, it tasted decent. Something you could get at your neighborhood seafood restaurant (which would be cheaper). Overall, while the location was great the restaurant was not. There are other restaurants in the same area, better off there instead.

We (a pax of 3) visited Coney Island on Saturday & decided to eat at the restaurant nearby. My friends saw House Of Seafood's crab promotion & we decided to check it out. Although it was Saturday dinner time, we did not wait long for a table. Upon inquiry on the crab promotion, it was too small to worth ordering. At the end we ordered #1 Mokata BBQ Set #2 Handmade crispy beancurb #3 Mee Goreng (local fried yellow dinner) #4 sambal kang kong. The food is edible but as normal as those dishes we can get from neighbourhood coffee shop. #2 was a total let down & we had to literally finished the dish for the sake of not wasting food :( #3 was the best dish of all. It was indeed an average meal & we were pretty disappointed. Perhaps we should have also ordered crab dishes with lot of online HYPE! The highlight of the night is the view & ambience. The restaurant's location is along Puggol Strait with good sea view. Will we be back ? I am not sure! Regards ML LEONG SINGAPORE

Our lunch at this restaurant for five persons cost $280 (without crabs). For such an expensive meal, the quality of food was poor and the dishes were small, expensive and not very tasty.. It was such a disappointment for the birthday guy.
