Returning to Santiago from Valparaiso, my phone died before I could retrieve my Airbnb address. We stopped at Fuente Chilena not to eat but just to ask if I could use their wifi (they graciously allowed me to do so). Yet, as soon as the waiter passed by with trays of fresh sandwiches stacked high with avocado, melted cheese, various... More

I had ridden my bike here many times and after visiting a local museum decided to stop by --- we wanted to eat outside and were told it was a five minute wait. In five minutes were seated -- great selection of delicious sandwiches, beers and quick service. Professional wait-staff. Good food.

A nice place for sandwiches, specially after the winter. Great atmosphere and very good service. But the sandwiches look much better in the menu than the real ones; overcooked meat, too dry.

Good place to go have a sandwich. One very important consideration, if you are planning on going there to have lunch, make sure you get there a few minutes before 1pm, or you will have to wait for a table. It's not the cheapest or most expensive place, but food is good.

Sat at the bar at lunch time. Ordered lomito chacerero. Found it to be very thin sliced, dry and overall not very good. Also surprisingly expensive. Too bad because the sandwiches in Santiago tend to be fantastic.

This lunchtime restaurant serves only sandwiches, but those are very tasty, big burgers loaded with various kinds of meat and many toppings.

The sandwiches in Chile are a world within: chucruts, avocados, pork beef, crafted mayonaises, and many other mixes you'll wouldn't imagine but should taste it and see it for yourself. Every 'Fuente' house has its specials; here you'll find the Fricandela, a traditional chilean recipe of crafted hamburger.

Big sandwichs, great for a snack. Too much mayonaise in everything. Had a hot dog with avocado, cheese and mayonaise...good but still a hot dog.... my husband had a national ham sandwich...much bigger, much tastier....better choice. Place is small abd feel the smell everywhere...even when we went outside the smell acompanied me.. Overall ok, not great.

This place tries to recreate the tradition of Chilean soda fountains, that are really beer+sandwich joints. There are a couple of things you don't find normally in these kind of places (arrollado which is a spicy pork roll and tongue sandwiches) which for me are the best. Ingredients are fresh and tasty, the mayo is very good and the sizes... More
