We stayed at the near by (and excellent) Solace Hotel and Peru Gustoso was our favored restaurant. At our first visit, we ordered a "starter" and a main course, but were warned that this might be to much food. It would certainly have been ... The menu abounds of Ceviche and other fish and meat specialities always served very generously.... More

Had a late night dinner here when I arrived late into Santiago. Staff were fast and efficient and the ceviche was delicious.

We had dinner at Peru Gustoso last night and the food was pretty good and generous portions. We have it a 3 because there was no ambience in the place and there were tables that had not been emptied. The service was very slow as well. There was only one waiter and although he was very friendly, he was not... More

We tried this restaurant out first night in Santiago on recommendation from our apartment owner. We were nit disappointed. We had the menu of the day, at in incredible cost of 11,000 pesos per person for 4 courses. They gave us bread and dips to start with a pisco sour and Peruvian beer included. Then a dish of mixed ceviche... More

Don't miss their "Peru Gusts special ceviche" - which was easily the best I've ever had. Other dishes uniformly excellent, and service on their comfortable outside terrace was prompt and attentive.

Wandered in without a booking but welcomed with a seat on the balcony overlooking the street. Unfortunately none of the waiters could offer any knowledge of English, although fortunately the menu had English for each item. . Ordered the fritto misto seafood starter to share and when it arrived the huge serving necessitated cancelling my main course. The variety of... More

This restaurant was very handy for the Hotel Orly where we were staying. We were attracted by the decor and picked up a flyer advertising dinner for two for 22,000 pesos. It seemed too good to miss - an aperitif, three courses and a glass of wine! Service was prompt and our waitress was happy to explain the dishes in... More

Since I only had a salad this review isn't altogether complete. The lettuce was "white" not "green" which not okay in this county where the fruits and vegetables are vibrant and plentiful. The waiter was friendly even though he didn't speak any English and our Spanish is from the 7th grade. I did love the "liquid" lemon juice that was... More

We ate lunch at this quaint, quality restaurant, and enjoyed being on the open air porch. Service was excellent, and the menu was in Spanish and English. The server's English was passable. I had the Peruvian fish, which was the only entree that did NOT have a description. It was EXCELLENT with vegetables and a sauce that was a cross... More

Peru Gustoso is one of my favorite places to eat in Santiago. And with go out to eat I mean simply eat. As in you're hungry, you want to eat. Eating at Peru Gustoso is like eating in the little room next to your grandmothers' kitchen. The atmosphere is just not there, the chairs are too old and the decorations... More
