Here are tastes of native Chilean ingredients and traditional preparations--but with cosmopolitan gourmet tweaks--you likely won't find anywhere else. This is a "workshop," not a traditional restaurant. You make an appointment, pay your bill, and then arrive. Usually it will be just you, in our case the two of us, sitting at a large chef's table including a stove top,... More

My wife and Anne had a special dinner here for just us as we wanted to see how Chilean food is prepared and then eat it of course! We asked to cut the portions in 1/2 since we have been offered so much food on this vacation already. We had wines paired with the food and then a home-made dessert... More

This dining experience is unique, it is a dinner cooked in a private home. What you see on the website and appears to be the restaurant is not representative of the actual dining location. We were two couples with worldwide fine dining experiences and were the only guests that evening. We booked the dinner based on the TA reviews. It... More

Though only available by reservation, this should be a"must" when in Santiago. The chef uses only products of Chile to explore and celebrate the tastes of the country. Whether serving a re-imagined traditional dish or making a new taste from local foods, each dish is amazing. Add to that being able to talk with the chef as he prepares the... More

This "by appointment only" restaurant/workshop was scheduled by our tour guide. It was a culinary tour de force. The seven course tasting lunch with paired wines was one of the best meals we've ever had. Patricio Caceres Perez is as passionate about Chile as he is about cooking. His food highlights the best of Chile's cuisine with a special "Motemei"... More

A surprise 50th birthday dinner whilst holidaying in Chile - I arrived at Motemei with no expectations - but even with this - I could never have imagined the experience that Chef Patricio was about to deliver. For over three hours he created the most memorable birthday dinner possible with his engaging warmth and humour, his entertaining narratives of Chilean... More

This was like food workshop where we could see the cook prepare typical chilean food presented as gourmet. It was a great experience and it tasted wonderful. The team are very friendly and professional. It would have been nice to have handouts after the workshop and try out the recipes at home. I would recommend it with friends and/or families... More

We had a great time at Motemei with Chef Patricio - it felt like a whirlwind tour of all the flavours of Chile. Despite being caught unawares by our dietary requirements (neither of us eat meat), Patricio quickly improvised and served up seven courses of simple, delicious and varied food. Each course was accompanied with an introduction an anecdote or... More

While in Santiago we had the privilege to spend an evening with Patricio and Jennifer as they provided a unique and wonderful Chilean feast. It was also paired with great wines provided by MOVI and their Sommelier/ winemaker, Derek. Truly an unforgettable evening of fantastic flavors. Who could have ever thought how great rooster could taste. Seek this out !!!!
