Local citizens introduced me to this restaurant in the historic Barrio Yungay. I was encouraged to try the steak with chocolate sauce. Who would have expected a tender, flavorful, serving of beef served with a dark brown delicious sauce that was not sweet at all? I was also introduced to a mellow locally produced red wine called Camenere that I... More

It used to be one of my favourite places in Santiago. During last visit, on the 8-th of February, lunch time, I had a great dissapointment. Almost half of the menu was not available, including basics. Order took a long time, even though at the time the place was not full. Part of the order was forgotten, including the plate... More

We stumbled upon this place and were delightfully surprised. The food was excellent and the wait staff was outstanding. I loved the décor. There were beverage menus within American magazines from the 1940's and 1950's. The prices were very reasonable too.

This place is just awesome! Great attention and the food was very, very good. This place has just about anything that you could possibly want to eat. The atmosphere is just wonderful. You must visit the bathroom, even if you don't need to go, you go through a wardrobe to get there! Lots and lots of history too. I have... More

Order the patria almond dessert, it's divine. Also the espresso chocolate one. The blueberry cake and creme brulee are good but ordinary. The pastel /chupe de jaiba isn't very good though, and be careful of that onion soup - they bring it out almost boiling.

It is a shame that many expats never venture into Barrio Yungay and never experience this place. Boulevard Lauvaud has some of the most interesting decor of any restaurants I've set foot in. The building has genuine history and the restaurants maximizes the charm. The menu features gourmet Chilean and French dishes and one of the better pisco sours I've... More

The place is quite particular, with many old accesories that give it a museum touch. The location is easily accesible, in the heart of Santiago. The best of this restaurant is definitely the food. They have a good menu with options for everyone. It is a bit pricey though. Service: average.

We had lunch here. The food was just ok for the price. The staff is very friendly and the building is very neat. Would recommend checking it out maybe just for a snack.

Good pisco sours. Food was exquisite. Large portions. Service was prompt and helpful even though we had minimal spanish. Walking distance to Hotel patio Yungay.

Arrived and seated ourselves since no one seemed to care. Asked three waiters for menu. Took 25 minutes to get menu. Took a further 50 minutes to bring out a chicken sandwich and onion soup. The food was not good enough to justify such poor service.
