I had high hopes for a meal at Baco. This place bills itself as a wine restaurant, and whole they have a decent wine list, they seem to have no interest at all in wine of customer service. When I asked the server about a particular wine, she admitted that she did not know anything about it, and there was... More

I had two small dishes and two wines at the recommendation of the waiter and all were far beyond my expectations. I dined at many of the highest TA rated restaurants during my week in Santiago and Baco was hands down the most notable - far beyond other, more popular establishments. The best salmon tartar I could even ever imagine.... More

I went there last night. Be sure to have a reservation, the place is always crowded. It's a fancy but relaxed and fun kind of place, with an EXCELLENT wine cellar and delicious pisco sour. The food is outstanding. I had an espectacular raw salmon with ginger as an entree, and then fish with garlic, basmati and vegetables. The warm... More

The food was good, great atmosphere. I got the steak tartar which was good, though it had not Tabasco (I added it and it was great!). I will surely come back again!

Our hotel booked us here for New years and told us it was semi-formal, but it was actually a lot more casual. Even so, we had a nice time, the quality of the food was good. We ordered a few extra items and spaced it out since it was New Years Eve. They have many wine and sparkling options by... More

We went here because everything else was pretty much closed on New Years here so it was convenient for us from our hotel la reve. The service was good, but the food wasn't cheap although not terribly expensive either. The food was just ok and we wouldn't go back when there are so many other better food options.

Nice setting, great food and excellent wines! The services were also good. If you want to eat something different than the usuals things Santiago offers, please go to this small nice typical french restaurant.

I have been to Baco many times and never once dissapointed. It has an excellent cuisine, an extent wine list either by the glass or bottle. Service is professional and fast. Reservations are mandatory specially on weekends including Thursday. Ambiance is very pleasant, nice outside sitting.
