I went to El Cafecito expecting to have an amazing food experience but i left the place dissapointed. The food was average, the place was old and kind of sloopy but the reason i am not going back is the questionable hygiene. The bathroom was dirty & smelly. The salt and pepper shakers had some food sticked to them as... More

El Cafecito is a great place to hang out. It's in a quieter part of La Mariscal, so the place is never too busy, and the atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. Good wifi, good drinks, and decent food make this cafe/hostel a place where you can stay all day, and there's a pleasantly international feel to the place since... More

Nice place to relax between activities, have a coffee or tea or a drink, or a dessert, or a meal; and read or study or talk for a while. Everyone was friendly, my friend and I had no problems with service. We liked that it's open all day and that the ambience was less high-energy than some of the local... More

Great atmosphere and not too touristy which we found very refreshing for the area. The food was OK, the service a little slow, but a very relaxing place for dinner overall. Try the canelazo which was delicious

Can't say anything about the food, since I never had a chance to try it. The waitress brought the menu and disappeared. After 15 minutes of waiting I gave up.

This place is nice but too noisy and the shower does not work properly. The staff during the day is cool and nicer than the night shift. The reception guy ignored me when I ask for the services and about the water functions.

This is a cute little hostel/cafe/restaurant owned by the charming Canadian Tony, we thought we would stay 15 minutes for a quick coffee and ended up there for 3 hours meeting new people from all over the globe sharing contacts and stories. If the food isn't what you are looking for the atmosphere and quality of people attending you will... More

This place has a limited menu, but it's quiet and good. We felt we could hang out there with a drink or coffee as long as we wanted, and the clientele was at least as much Ecuadorian as tourist. It just had a charm about it.

I really love this little place. It has a great chill vibe and a bohemian decor with a wonderful fireplace and a patio. The food is delicious. Mind you this is not your typical "menu del dia" type place. It has a great little menu and the cook really takes care to prepare everything so that it looks and tastes... More

A good place to meet other travellers and share information. Food is good, a nice blend of local but with Western hints. Coffees are great!
