I've eaten here over the past 35+ years and never left disappointed. I enjoy their steaks immensely and the service is always amazing.

If you're staying at JW, you can walk down the driveway, across the street, down 100 meters, and presto on the left side is this place. If you've never eaten steak in Argentina, you'll probably enjoy it a lot; if you have, you might wonder what the fuss is about. There's chicken and pork on the menu but since none... More

After reading many good reviews, we made a point to go and try it.. What a big mistake!! The atmosphere felt very uncomfortable (too bright, had to be left into a locked gate, only customers in the place!). , the food was even worse! The bread was very stale, the salad was fresh but dressing so bitter we could not eat... More

Our party was looking for good steak and we were not disappointed. We ordered the house specialty, Solomillo, and it was outstanding. The sides were also excellent especially the cheese sauce for the potato. Next time I'm in Quito I will definitely go back!

Yes indeed! At La Casa de mi Abuela we had one of the very best steaks we have ever had! We ordered the special - and highly recommend it! The steak was served as one slab - with one end rare and the other end medium - just like we wanted! The sides were also excellent - especially the cheese... More

We had dinner en La Casa de mi Abuela as we were recommended that they serve delicious meat. We have not been deceived at all !! The restaurant is located in a very banal house, the decoration of the room is very simple (the lights a bit aggressive) but : - very nice service - and most of all INCREDIBLE... More

We like very much the milanesa and steaks. Fine and quiet atmosphere and good service. I will return to this site.

I had read reviews on this restaurant and had to check it out while we were in Quito in November 2016. The food was amazing and is served family style. If you want a really good steak and a great ambiance, this place is a must! We will be back again one day to Quito and will be back to... More

Stopped here after starving for meat after five days in the Amazon. A family owned place with excellent service and fair prices. The atmosphere is nice and the steak is above average for any where. I had the sirloin at the urging of the server and she was correct, I have never had a sirloin like it. They were a... More
