The place was dirty as well as the tables. Food took 45+ min to be ready and when we finally had it, everything was uncooked. Dishes weren't as we asked. The worst experience. Not recommended at all.

We had two great dinners here. Prices are reasonable, portions are huge (as is custom here). Waiters have decent English but if you have some Spanish it would help. The food was very tasty of all 4 entrees we tried. We had the Fritadas, pork chops, shrimp apply and llapinggachos. The Lorca soup is also amazing.

This restaurant is located about a two minute walk from the Swissotel where we stayed. Good local food in a quiet cozy setting. We started with a shared platter of clams in a delicious sauce. We then had the shrimp and potato soup, which was nicely spiced and very tasty. Our main course was sea bass covers in coconut sauce.... More

Everything we ate was delicious. We ordered a mix of empanadas for appetizers. Each was different and excellent. The breaded sea bass was full of flavor. We had the traditional mixed plate with tripe, goat, steak and rice. It was so good. The traditional Ecuadorian potato soup was rich and creamy and full of flavor.

Authentic and delicious, explained well by staff so we pushed our comfort zone without going overboard. We ended up eating here three times it was so good.

We made reservations ahead of time, because it was one of the few restaurants open for dinner on Christmas. We had trouble finding the place (the website gave us the sister restaurant in Guayaquil). A short cab ride from the central business district. There was a mix of locals and tourists. White table cloth but mid-priced. Wine selection was limited,... More

We went to the restaurant with my family. Seven people in total. Even though there was still a lot of capacity we waited for almost 10 minutes to be attended, one hour to receive the entries and almost two hours to receive the main dishes. The food was good but the time we spent didn't let us enjoy the food... More

Some years ago this was one of the best traditional food restaurants in Quito, but in my last visits I have been disappointed for quality of dishes and a service not friendly enough. Prices aren't appropiate for some options in the menu.

No one spoke English on our first visit but we managed just fine. We shared the large appetizer and it was fine for lunch. We returned for dinner on another night and were again served fine food.
