Cinquecento has been designed to take its patrons to a Jazzy Italian eatery with an emphasis on famous Italian actors. Regardless of the "theme" they're going for the restaurant is a nice escape from the Reggatón and crowds that you typically find in Plaza Foch. The food can be a bit hit or miss but I suggest sticking with the... More

I have to admit I've really missed a great antipasto platter in the whole of Ecuador. However, this place brings all the goods - proper prosciutto (I've been let down so many times with regular ham), mostly good cheese (one was a let down). I also highly recommend the salad with rocket cause that was impossible to find elsewhere in... More

Loved the place; it was a bit strange going up in the elevator; we were looking for pizza and one of the promoters by the plaza guided us here; the whole promoters thing seems strage and when we were transfered to another promoter and put on an elevator we did not quite like it! but when we got up it... As is the case just about everywhere, Boston has a lot of Italian restaurants. But not all of them are good; in fact, some of them are very average - or worse. Cinquecento is an exception. This is a very good Italian restaurant. The waitress told one of my dining companions that the bolognese sauce was one of the best... More

Went for dinner and the place was nearly empty. The service was almost nonexistent: the waiter forgot part of our order and disappeared for long stretches of time. The food was ok, not great but passable and not cheap. We would not go back.

The location and decor are great, but the food and service fairly mediocre. Firstly, we did not get bread before the main meal. Instead, we got some vegetables and olive oil. The bread came together with the pasta dishes we had, but then the olive oil was taken away. It took a long time to get the food, and it... More

The menu is very complete, but dishes are very basic. Althought they're good, but not the best election. In the area there are other better options. Service is good and gentle but slow and calm. If you go there you need a bit of pacience or a lot of time.

We came here with friends who'd been there before. It was close to our hotel, the Mercure. The restaurant is a bit difficult to find as it's upstairs in the corner of a plaza. There are stairs and an elevator to the restaurant. We ordered antipasti and it was fantastic. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and had a nice presentation.... More
