We decided to treat ourselves for one night in Quito and the restaurant had great reviews. Arrived early and were shown to table. Lovely ambience but service disappointed from the start. Despite a number of waiters hanging around, no one offered us a drink to start and we eventually had to ask for the wine list. About 10 minutes later... More

For a restaurant that touts itself as being Relais & Chateaux accredited the whole experience was extremely disappointing. We had the 7 course taster menu which was OK, but far from exceptional. The overuse of yellow pepper sauce on one of the courses was so overpowering that it affected the taste of the next two courses. The service was extremely... More

The restaurant offers a wide variety of entrees and good drinks. Service was excellent and we had nothing to complaint about. As to the premises they were nicely decorated in a modern minimalistic fashion, which adds to the experience.

I am fortunate to have dined at 12 of the current top 50 restaurants in the world. They all deserve their place, but there are many others that could potentially be on the list. Zazu is one of them. This local restaurant in the capital city of Ecuador punches well above its weight and is a true gem. Located in... More

Zazu was recommended by our local guide and we were not disappointed. We liked the contemporary decor, the wine list was extensive, the menu was diverse with alot of interesting options and the service was excellent. I'd recommend without hesitation.

Restaurant located in a maze of one way streets. Many locals have no clue where it is located, probably due to the price of the meals. Our reservation was lost somehow but we managed to get a seat. The food was average and to get the bill you had to wave them down. Suggest you wear a brightly coloured shirt.

Loved the place as did my accomplice. Soup was amazing. seafood combo outstanding and Risotto excellent. Wine prices outrageous but this is government taxes in action not the fault of the restaurant. Been back twice and it's a stellar place. Don't miss it

I was on a trip to Quito for literally only 18 hours and a friend of a friend recommended this place. It is a superb dining experience. The food is perfect, the ambiance is classy, and the service is wonderful. There is free wifi here and everyone speaks perfect English. Our server was Fabricio and he made our dining experience... I've heard of Zazu as a great place a lot of times before my first visit, so I tried it to invite a group of very important clients of mine coming from abroad. The place, location, ambience, and people are very well aligned with the excellent and innovative food they served that night. It really deserves its good reputation, I'm... More

It's a little unfair to review a restaurant that a friend gave such great kudos to following a visit that happened two years ago. As a result of the overwhelming praise of my friend, I was expecting so much of Zazu. But let's start with the massive positive... to be met in car park by an attendant with umbrellas was... More
