I was excited to go to this restaurant as I live near by and I love a good steak. Unfortunately the atmosphere was not great - it was only half full on a Friday evening and the lights were too bright. Although the steak was tasty and cooked perfectly the sides were incredibly boring and reminiscent of restaurants in the... More

Anchored in their Argetinean roots, Los Troncos is a must for any meat lover living or visiting Quito. Located in the financial and commercial area of Quito (three blocks away from Quicentro shopping mall), this restaurant offers not only beef but also poultry and fish. Their "mollejas" are to die for. Highly recommended.

For meat lovers this is a great restaurant. Choice between Argentinian, ISA, Uruguayan and Ecuadorian meat. We choose the Uruguayan menu as local Ecuadorian meat is not always good. On all imported meat Ecuador has a lot of tax and therefor is much more expensive. Result is that the Ecuadorian farmer does mot care too much about quality as it... More

Food is pretty tasty, and prices are fine. Service was ok, but not phenomenal. Again this location doesn't offer a smoking area, and parking can be difficult.

Our last night in Quito and we went to Los Trounces. Absolutely great night. The steaks were beautifully cooked and all the side equally as good (the Grilled vegetables especially). The service was polite, attentive and very good. Excellent wine selection befitting a steak house. In fact we ate better steak here than in many restaurants in Buenos Aires. Five... More

Everything was excellent, the service, the meat (Lomo fino) and the wine. We started with a plate of assorted Morcilla, Chinchulines and Molleja. Leave it in the expert hands of the charismatic and very friendly owner Hector Avero. He will serve you the best. A must go while in Quito!! Bon Appétit!!

Service was ok but the steak came ice cold although it was ordered rare. Sent back and was heated and returned but the steak was not really worth eating. Waiter just shrugged his shoulders. I would look else where

Staff are attentive and welcoming and recognize previous clients. Simply one of the best steaks you can get in the city and the ribs are good as well. its a must go restaurant.

Nice restaurant with lots of Argentinean atmosphere. The food was good. Especially the lomo's. The wine was a bit expensive, though. This is often the case in Ecuador, but almost 30 dollars for an average bottle of Malbec is still outrageous.
