The menu is VERY extensive and everything our group ordered was wonderful. The seafood was outstanding as was the veal. Pasta was terrific. Wait staff was attentive and professional.

This place is not only beautiful and elegant, it is the best food in Quito. Prices are a little high but it is well worth it.

Almost downtown but still in a very quiet area. This beautiful Italian restaurant stands out of most Ecuadorian restaurants. They have a wide variety of Italian receipts combined with local food. Try there grilled Octopus or Carpaccio. Whine choice is great but expensive.

I'm going to give this place the benefit of the doubt that it's hard to get authentic Italian ingredients half way around the world. The ambiance was hard to beat. We ate in an open room out back of the main dining area. It was...More

One of the most famous Italian restaurant in Quito Ristorante Carmine It was with good luck that when Chef Carmine returned to Ecuador he found an old friend who was leaving the country and who had began the construction of a new Italian food restaurant in Quito. We all know to listen to the wise ones and let Divine Providence do the work, so that is what he did. After a short while, Ristorante Carmine Quito opened its doors in a restored republican house which overlooks a small but ancient plaza with hundred year old trees and a beautiful garden in El Batán. From the outside of the house it looks like a little piece of Europe has been transported to Ecuador and from the inside you will feel like you are eating in an excellent restaurant in Italy.
