The menu really is All About Trout. My friend and I both had the trout ceviche, which was super fresh and delicious. Even though it's right in the heart of town, the place feels like a neighborhood joint, with relaxed, low-pressure service and tasty food. The prices are very reasonable, too.

What an amazing place! All items feature trout, pretty much any way imaginable. Ceviche is fresh and delicious, served with fresh corn and sweet potato slices for only 15 soles. Many other combinations and platters are really good too, especially the ocopo, which is a creamy dish of white quinoa and cheese accompanied by sautéed trout. Another option is ceviche... More

We stumbled upon this place while walking around downtown Arequipa around Plaza de Armas. Food was incredibly good and well presented. The Trucha is fresh from Lake Titicaca around the city of Puno. The prices are amazing for the portions you get and the owner/waiter is very friendly.

I'm a big ceviche lover, so I tried 6 different dishes in 10 days in Peru. I've paid somewhere between 25-50 s, yet at La casa de la Trucha, I'd the luxury ceviche which is a mixed of seafood (not everywhere offers it), and it is absolutely the best, and it's for 20S only! Must try it!

We went to eat here twice. The place isnt pretty but the food is fresh, delicious and cheap. We ordered trucha (trout) with ocopa and trucha with mushroom and the bill came out to 36 soles. The owner and his wife do all the cooking and serving.

Cute restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The person in charge was so lovely, just for that it's worth going in. The food and the drinks are cheaper than in other restaurants. The trout dishes were very tasty and the portions were quite big. The beer is a large bottle, and cheap. They also serve a soft drink made in Arequipa,... More

.We came across this small, authentic, economic restaurant by chance, and I was greatful for that. It's probably among the verry few fish restaurants in the historic center in Areuipa. I don't eat meat and there were hardly any veg dishes in the other restaurants in the same level. When we arrived, the place was full of a big bunch... More

This is a family run place and we loved it. The owner is a really nice guy and we felt so welcomed! The place isn't packed with gringos, but there are many locals enjoying delicious food. We had trucha ceviche and trucha with garlic sauce, everything was delicious and at very good price. Highly recommended!

Had the Ceviche Mixto. Priced prefect at s/18 plus 2 for Inca Cola. Right behind Santa Catalina Monastery on a not so busy street. Gets busy for lunch I bet; went at 3pm. Nice little location. Definitely recommend.
