We found this place after consulting Tripadvisor for a well-recommended restaurant as close as possible to our hotel. We had just arrived in Cusco after a long journey from the U.S. and wanted to go somewhere nearby, but which also offered some typical Peruvian cuisine. Deva was a four-minute walk from our hotel. We were the first people to arrive... More

It took them almost one hour to bring starters. However the food was very good. I tried Guinea Pig, dishes with Quinua are creative and delicious. Credit Cards accepted.

We found this restaurant through Trip Advisor reviews and ended up eating here twice since it was right next to our hotel in Cusco. What we really enjoyed about this restaurant: the chullpi mix and complementary chica de jora (a light corn beer). It's a quaint restaurant and we enjoyed the conversation with the wait staff who spent time educating... More

We went to the restaurant for lunch though it was past 3 pm. We had just arrived in Cuzco so the altitude tired us out as we walked up to the restaurant from our hotel. Our server was Sylvia. we were the only customers. I had a light chicken soup which is recommended as the first meal upon arrival. it... More

The staff was very warm and inviting. Our waitress showed us different varieties of corn and potatoes, not in a pushy sort of way and shared some facts about food in Peru. The food was outstanding, we had Alpaca. A nice evening meal.

Went here for dinner one evening and had most enjoyable meal. Started with a Pisco Sour which was excellent and weren't disappointed with any of our dishes. Decent sized portions and excellent service. Would try again.

Considering review we wnt for dinner there. There were only 2 customers in restaurant. So we order only chicken soup and ceviche. After staying 15 days in Peru n eating various places I could not resist comparing food I had there with other places. Soup was no near to soup at Mr Soup and ceviche was OK. Complementary fried corn... More

Deva was the first restaurant we ate when we arrived to Cusco. We started with the ceviche, which was delicious. We also had to try the guinea pig since it is famed in Peru. Not much meat on those bones....seriously tastes just like chicken (cornish hen to be exact). Once was enough. The food here is very very good!

Cuy is commonly called Guinea pig in the US and elsewhere. They get the name from their cute noise they make. I've always known they eat Guinea pig here so I had to try it. They bring it out on a plate for a photo op intact after being cooked. They then take it back to cut it up for... More

We happened upon Deva's as it was near our Hotel and it was a delightful dinner. The host comes around and shows you local foods and talks about Peruvian cuisine. I had "hen soup" as I wasn't feeling flash and it hit the spot perfectly.

Description
It is the only gourmet restaurant of typical local food. We do not make fusion style. Located in the old palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, we have vegetarian options. In Deva you can found the ancestral cuzco culture through its gastronomy. It is atended by its own owners. We have different Peruvian wines and piscos, and you can enjoy, if you wish so, the traditional "chicha de jora", drink that the Incas offered to the Sun in the Inti Raymi
