La Gloria del Campo is a restaurant in the countryside outside of Lima (Pachacamac). The specialty here is the suckling pig – make sure to reserve one when you make a reservation to avoid disappointment. The service can be a bit slow, but that’s common throughout Peru. Other than the suckling pig, any of the dishes with fresh vegetables and... More

Restaurant open at noon. Our reservations were for 1:30. When we arrived they inform us their signature dish is not available. Service was absurd, we had to get up to get salt and other needs. 4 out of the five meat selections were not available. The head waiter told us the manager didn't want to hire a Bigger crew for... Every table here is complaining. There is no service. 4 out of the 5 dishes in the meat menu are not available. Excuses, is then only thing coming to the table. We ate the appetizers and we are now leaving.

With excitement I took an Ecuadoria family for lunch last friday and was very dissapointed with the quality of the food and service: the chicken was dry, the pork was nothing good, and the beef was not tasty and too dry and hard. The girl ordered pasta and they forgot to ask for it in the kitchen at the same... More

Just excellent! The quality was superb and the service up to the level expected of a classy restaurant in the city. It is not cheap but it is worth it!

A good alternative to dining out in Lima. About a 30 minute drive south of Lima, it's an opportunity to experience the countryside around Lima as well as to visit the archeological site of Pachacamac. Set among agriculture fields, inspired in Amazon type construction (on high poles, all wooden, all open) it offers a break from city life. Kids will... More

Dining here on a lovely Sunday afternoon was a fabulous treat. The restaurant space is open air and very comfortable for families to spawl. The food is absolutely fresh:and beautifully prepared, with delightful innovations on traditional Peruvian cuisine. Tiradito (similar to ceviche but prepared without onions and thinly sliced), hearty goat stew, spicy mushrooms served on toast with garlic aoili... More

About an hour or so south of Lima, past pre Columbian ruins that in themselves definately merit a visit, you arrive in a beautiful, well tended agricultural setting. The menu is not vast but every selection available is worth a try, delicious time honoured recipes. A great, and delicious, way to spend an afternoon!
