My wife and I had dinner on April 20th. We shared the fish ceviche which was plenty and outstanding. For entrés my wife had Osso-buco and I had the chicken (Aji de Gallina). Both dishes were excellent and plentiful. Our waitress Ingrid was very pleasant and made sure we were happy with our order. Very pleasant atmosphere, menu has great... More

Food was alright, dessert was great. But you should definately find a table outside on the terrace. It is a lot nicer than sitting inside.

Had lunch yesterday with my wife. She had a lomo saltado: too salty and soy saucy... they should use a better quality soy sauce and limit its use. I had ceviche of fish: only acceptable: a bit tasteless, such a tiny portion needed more lime juice. The chilcano was good though. Never again. Place is for easily scammable tourists; as... More

Good morning Daniel, Thank you for your visit and for your review. 1. The Lomo saltado original recipe calls for soy suace. Part of or Chinese heritage. 2. The ceviche is a starter. And, again, the recipe calls for lime juice, enough to marinate the fish. Have a nice week, Joaquín More

This small restaurant was friendly and delicious food! Received a complimentary pisco sour thanks to our hotel (Casa Andina) We had the mushroom ceviche which as excellent. For entrees we had gnocchi in a cream sauce which rivaled anything from Italy. My husband had Ossu Bucco which had a touch of heat and melted in your mouth. Great dinner

Our hotel first suggested Saqra to us... and it ended up being one of our favorites during our stay in Lima.We went twice-- It had a lovely atmosphere, delicious food, great music, and great customer service! The lomo saltaldo (a typical Peruvian dish) was excellent, as were the pisco sours. The ceviche was also fantastic, and the prices perfect. Our... More

This little restaurant was just steps away from our hotel in a higgledy-piggledy complex of tiny old buildings in Miraflores. There are other restaurants in this complex, and we chose Saqra at random because of the blossom-filled courtyard and the fact that the background music was actually Latin American rather than the U.S soft rock common elsewhere. It was full... More

The food here was amazing, not truly Peruvian, as there was a variety of dishes, but very tasty. We went with our two kids, on a recommendation from the hotel concierge, and we were delighted. We did not find it overpriced at all, and the service was very good and friendly.

Been here a number of times. A bit pricey, and the menu seems relatively fixed over the years. Ideal for outdoor seating with a hedge that separates the eating area from the sidewalk. Fine food of some Peruvian classics.

Good afternoon Pete K, 1. Our menu says that our glass of house wine is S/.30, that is USD 9.23 or GBP 7.44. So, if you multiply 7.44 x 5 = 37.20 GBP. Not 100 GBP. 2. I personally checked your bill: you had 2 dishes: one causa with grilled octopus and one wheat risotto with glazed pork. Service time:... More

Description
Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.
