You visit this place for one reason: to try the famous pisco sour in one of the first bars ever served this Peruvian awesomeness. The place is really old and maintains the latin character and cult atmosphere of the past, and this is what it's all about it. Don't expect posh decoration and fancy hippy waiters there. The service can... More

Hands down the best place for a Pisco sour. Lively place on Friday and Saturday nights..be careful drinking these they sneak up on you! Also, be careful on the streets, and Plaza San Martin at night if you're a tourist. Call a taxi to get home, don't take one off the street.

Known for it's pisco sours, El Bolivarcito is in the front of Hotel Bolivar. The food is okay. The prices aren't especially impressive but not bad either. In my visit, the service was a little bit slow. The service seemed a little too relaxed. There are so many impressive dining experiences in Lima that I recommend checking out the others... More

After reading that this was the place for pisco sours, we had to go. The place looks as if it has never been renovated. Chef Ramsey needs to rescue this place. The pisco Spurs were no more special than any other place. They didn't have the first appetizer I ordered so ordered the ceviche. My boyfriend, a chef, asked what... More

We were staying in the Gran Hotel Boliver and went for a long walk during the day and then checked out places on Trip Adviser. Even though the place seemed to be part of the hotel, the reviews were good so we checked it out. The Picso Sours were great and the food ok.

I have visited El Bolivarcito on all my travels to Peru. i have never been disappointed. They serve a very nice pique (local snacks) to accompany your Pisco Sour. I have always asked for the Pisco Sour Catedral. It is super.Definitely recommended.

This is a great place to unwind after a couple long tours. I met a couple friends here and had the pisco sours and a couple beers. The food is nice and the atmosphere is comfortable. The pricing is also reasonable.

This is a lounge serving various examples of drinks containing primarily pisco. They serve a mean pisco sour and their signature drink is the "catedral" -- basically a double pisco sour.. They also serve snacks. It is noisy and the crowd tends to be on the younger side. The drinks are strong. This bar should not be confused with the... More

We stopped in for a pisco sour after touring downtown Lima. These definitely aren't the best pisco sours in Lima, despite the historic setting of this famous bar. (For the best pisco sours, we recommend the Bar Ingles at the country club in San Isidro.) Regardless, it was a relaxing stop after spending the morning sightseeing. The service was attentive,...
