Cozy dining room, where they clearly take their food and wine seriously. You can see the chefs working in the kitchen and much of the produce comes from the on-site organic farm/garden. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast something of a disappointment.

Coming from Lima, we had eaten in some truly excellent restaurants. El Albergue was able to match them in every respect - the food was absolutely delicious and knowing the vegetables came straight from their farm was lovely. The service was warm and friendly - altogether a lovely evening.

Food is great, service wonderful, kept thinking I was in New York or LA walked outside and was in Inca Region. The steak with cream sauce has Dulce De leche and wow is it good. We ate here two nights. Get reservations.

The atmosphere, food and service here are excellent. The staff speak good English and were very attentive. We got an appetizer, main course, dessert and wine for $40 CAD. Expensive by Peruvian standards but much cheaper than back home. I would recommend the alpaca steak (very tasty) and tres lychee creme brulee. Treat yourself!

Unusual to get such a good hotel restaurant in Peru - this restaurant is worth a visit even if you aren't staying in the hotel

We were staying in this wonderfully comfortable and eclectic hotel on the rail platform for one night before taking the train to Machu Picchu. The restaurant was a thoroughly unexpected bonus that we partook in for dinner and breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive, the menu expansive and the food and drink were fresh, savoury and delectable. The constant... More

I had read that the restaurant was great and it helped us decide to stay at the hotel. The restaurant is in the train station building on the tracks. The outside part is a coffee shop serving the same food as the restaurant but in "train style" chairs. The restaurant inside is nice setting, Peruvian musician ( leave a tip)... More

Our first night thee we enjoyed the restaurant. Lovely meal, friendly wait staff, pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Breakfasts allowed for ordering off the menu, and everything I had was prepared the way I liked it -- from poached eggs to the Peruvian Tacu Tacu breakfast.

We would not have known about this restaurant if it wasn't for TripAdvisor, as its not in the main village square , but sits just off the platform of the Ollantaytambo train station. Upmarket joint, with very attentive staff and a menu hard to choose from (cause you want to order everything). Ollantaytambo has a couple of really good restaurants,... More

A little oasis in a an unusual location - would that all station buffets were the same! Open kitchen added an insight into how it should be done!
