We had lunch here, the food was excellent! The bread was served with herbed oil, a cheese sauce and olives. Mmmm good. The coffee was delicious! I had some ravioli that was obviously freshly made in house and excellent! When you arrive you walk through a beautiful garden area, there is outside and inside seating, the decor was great! I... Service was very slow and maybe the chef was not there the evening we came (with high expectations). I can recommend the alpaca filet. Nothing else we had impressed me. If you are staying at Sol y Luna stick to the restaurants there.

El Huacatay is definitely worth the money. A really nice outdoor atmosphere, delicious wine and beautiful meat and vegetarian dishes full of flavour

Did this visit through our touring group, it was excellent. We had an Alpaca appetizer which was very delicious, highly recommended. Our snack was a traditional local dish where all the ingredients of the valley are collected into a slow cooker, wish i wrote down the name, it is a true Pot-luck cuisine. Need the order the dish a day... More

Our first meal in Urubamba, fine dining food, with trout tartare, alpaca carpaccio, pollo seco and steak, all fabulous and interesting. Lovely entry through the garden, great drinks list, overall a very pleasant place.

This establishment is tucked away in one of the small alleys in Urubamba center but not so hard to find. We got there even before they opened but a sweet and friendly waiter on his way in promised to book us a table even if the restaurant was quite full that evening. Half an hour later we returned and sure... More

Wonderful dinner at a reasonable price. Not the best restaurant in Peru but probably the best we experienced in MP/Sacred Valley.

Visited Huacatay for lunch after visiting towns and Inka ruins for the day and loved it. The place is charming with both indoor and outdoor seating (we opted for the later). The service is simple but excellent and the food was very good with new twists in traditional local fare. The gnocchi was excellent and the Alpaca Carpaccio was different... More

There are three restaurants Tambo del Inka recommends and El Huacatay is one of them. It has garden seating, patio seating and inside. Now, the first thing I am going to tell you is to Chill Out about the slow service. You will make it worst for your experience there. You start with bread and olives, really good. I had... More
