This restaurant has been established by two 'young gastronomers'. It is a gorgeous old venue with a classy menu and very affordable set menu (as well as a la carte). The lamb dish was soft and tasty, and the ice cream light and fresh.

A fine dining experience. The lights and the music were low and sweet. The lomo was cooked just right; the asparagus and onion a bit overdone but ok. The service was calm but attentive enough and the crowd was not overwhelming. The red wine went well with the beef. I really nice evening in the ciudad vieja. A good first...

What a smashing small restaurant. Great service, excellent food well prepared and presented. A great way to eat healthily without feeling deprived in MV. Very comfortable and good value on the prix fixe. Best meal I had in MV on this occasion and good local wine at great prices.

We found this restaurant in the very useful 'Guru'guay' guide which you can buy in bookstores in Montevideo. Food is good, excellent wine and very friendly service. By the time we left at around 9pm the place was full on a Friday evening. A good find.

It is a perfect small restaurant located in the old part of the city. The warm atmosphere greets you. I have gone a few times for lunch and none of the dishes were disappointing from start to finish. The lunch menus are quite reasonably priced considering the relatively high restaurant meal prices in Montevideo.

I had a wonderful experience here -- the salmon (grilled, in a mustard sauce) was among the best I've had - and I eat a ton of salmon in New York and LA. The waitress was incredibly nice, and attentive without being over-bearing. Glass of wine and entrée for under $30 USD

This food was bad, really bad. As this restaurant had a very good rating on tripadvisor, and was next to our hotell, my wife and myself went there. The good stuff: the red wine was ok. The bad stuff, we went for the set price 3 course menu. As main course was beef. It was not grilled, but was made... More

Delicious fresh ingredients handled with care and skill. Nice decor, soft lights and plenty of windows. Easily reached by strolling along the pedestrian Sarandí St. we lived the salad, and our entrees of a seafood medley over greens and a wonderful white firm fleshed fish (brótola, or Brazilian codling, in English; but it's a local fish to Uruguay, saw them... On a breezy rainy Friday evening we chose Dueto based on other reviews as well as proximity to our hotel (the Radisson). We were so pleased that we did; it is lovely setting, wonderful attentive service, and beautiful food caringly prepared. We recommend highly!

We ate lunch at Dueto with friends, and went with the fixed menu. You have two options, a three course meal (entree, main, and dessert) for 560 P, or a two course (without an entree) option for 520 P. Both options include Salus mineral water. As the portions are small, I suggest you go for the three course meal. You... More
