Antipodes is an exceptional restaurant, from the stunning views to its beautiful cuisine, lovely staff and knowledgeable bartenders. It is always our first place to visit when we return again and again to Rarotonga, we most recently booked with friends and were not disappointed. We...can highly recommend their sharing platters and comprehensive drinks list but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, especially fresh fish. Don't hesitate to book (and you must book) when visiting. You are guaranteed a memorable dining experience!More

Antipodes owners and staff pride themselves on excellence in every area. Food, service, view, cocktails and attention to detail. Their reputation as a top choice of dining in Raro is well deserved. A unique location high above Black Rock with amazing sunsets and pods of whales regularly...cruising by add to the ambience. Usually fully booked by appreciative returning locals and tourists alike (ex covid) A 'must' experience in Raro.More

This is a special place with a beautiful view across the ocean. The food was first rate and the service exceptional. Thanks Jason and Erica. We saved this restaurant till our last day as we wanted it to be memorable. And it was.

Lovely food with a lovely setting looking over the reef. Only place in years of coming to Rarotonga where we experienced unpleasant re-actions when a mistake was made by staff and instead of sorting out the problem in a proper manner became quite dismissive and...defensive. Friends on the Island had also had a similar experience. Never againMore

We found Antipodes on the recommendation of others and what a superb dining experience. Probably one of the most diverse and interesting menus available on the Island and consistently excellent food and service in a stunning setting. Beautiful views. Favourites included the Paella, Prawn Linguine,...Neptune Trident Seafood Platter, and any of their fish/seafood dishes. Antipodes is one of the few restaurants in Rarotonga that was able to source mahimahi throughout the course of our extended stay in Rarotonga. Very good and reasonably priced wine list. Owner operated (front of house and chef) and great staff. Would highly recommend.More

We ate there twice in August 2021, once for our 40th wedding anniversary, and another time just because the first time was so great! The service is exemplary....and the setting divine. The menu is rich and varied, and all our dishes were delicious. Couldn't fault...it at all, and hope one day to return to Raro and go there again!More

Nice location up on the hillside affords great sea views. The setting amongst the tropical landscape was lovely but meant visits from bugs and mosquitoes. The food menu presented plenty of options whilst the wine menu was limited. The seating arrangement were good with a...couple of levels of outdoors and then inside options. The food and service were good, although after asking about the size of the meals felt we were allowed to over over and thus found it difficult to enjoy our mains. Seeing the kitchen physically engaging with the cats and then carry on with cooking wasn’t ideal.More

The whole experience was exceptional! After finding the restaurant was completely booked for the week, we went on a waitlist. To our surprise and delight, a cancellation meant we had a table on the final night of our stay in Rarotonga. The staff were excellent....The setting is superb. The tropical gardens beautiful and well kept. The views over to the ocean lovely. The building and decor outstanding. As for the food ...a 5 star menu for sure. Joss the chef does and amazing job. She and her partner made us feel more than welcome and treated us to a memorable evening. We will book from NZ next time before we embark on our next trip!More

It is no surprise this is the #1 restaurant in Rarotonga. What a beautiful setting overlooking the harbour. The design of the restaurant could be that of anywhere in the world - European influence ... someplace special. The staff were attentive and friendly, great wine...selection, and the cuisine was beautiful. The pricing for this standard of restaurant was really reasonable. We were spoilt with the sunset and whales in the harbour. For anyone visiting Rarotonga we recommend you book - this is too good to miss out on. 10/10 in every respect. Thank you for a fantastic evening.More

From the moment we walked into the restaurant to the time we left we felt like movie stars! This place is sublime! The staff are so friendly, attentive and nothing is a problem! We went at sunset and were lucky enough to see some whales!...The owner came out and she was so friendly! Even giving my partner some binoculars to whale spot! The setting.... sunset viewing, overlooking the ocean. It has some really gorgeous interior, and feels relaxed. The food.... we are huge food fans and so it took us a while to decipher the menu! At no point did they rush us, we were there for just over three hours! We had the antipasto platter to share, prawn linguine, the prawn cutlets, artichoke salad, and desert! The cocktail menu is something else.... but leave it in the capable hands of Eddie and he will mix you up something special! Before we had even ordered we had already booked in for the following week! Booking is essential!More
