The restaurant at the Royal Tahitien Hotel is one of our favorite dining spots on Tahiti. Located along the shoreline, the view is beautiful, whether the lagoon and reef during daylight hours, or the Papeete harbor lights at night. We stopped for dinner on our latest trip and as usual we were delighted with the view, the service, the food... More
Checked in 7th December amazing welcome clean room it ticked all my boxes I was impressed fab grounds and ocean was 50yards away with private staff very helpfull
Definitely the place to take someone from overseas. Any time of the day is good, although I have a preference for sunset. :) There is often live music. The traditional decor is well maintained and smiles abound
This is well situated on the beach front with good views. Potentially very romantic. Breakfast is just an unremarkable continental - we didn't try the a la carte. The portions for dinner were very large, we couldn't manage an entree and main..We ended up sharing either an entree or main. They overcooked the fish. Though the raw fish dishes were... More
Best bargain on the coast to final Mai Tais at only $10.00 US, plus they do not water down their Mai Tais like many other Tahitian establishments do. Go before the sun sets and you will be treated to a delightful, serene view. Also, on Friday evenings they have live music with a band for dancing; everyone shows up from... More
This hotel/restaurant was a great find. They have karaoke and dancing in one section and very good food in their restaurant. The portions are large and although it is not cheap, the cost is what you would find in most other eating establishments. Overall, the meal is well worth the price.
We were forwarded to this restaurant by the staff at our hotel after we commented that we were not fans of their food. And I thank them because the food here is excellent. Fresh fish cooked to order, excellent Tahitian wine by the glass, table on the balcony overlooking the beach, just great.
Like the other comments this place is hard to find. Current google maps does not have the correct roads on it but we did find it. We arrived after it was dark but sat next to the water with the waves coming in. Like almost all of Papeete you have to be ready to be in the heat as there... More
This gem is a little tricky to find after dark, but we persevered and were rewarded. Local bands play here and there is a huge stage, dance and meeting area off of the main dining room. The restaurant serves a nice variety of French Polynesian dishes from veal, frois gras to fresh seafood. We were seated by the water as... More
