A variety of excellent food and a great view. Choice of open air dining or air conditioned room - both with a fantastic view of the city's skyline and the Bay of Panama. We've eaten at Pencas many times during the 12 years we've lived in Panama and the food has ALWAYS BEEN EXCELLENT. We've been there as a couple... More

Pencas is just ok. The food is fine, the ambience - especially on the balcony is good but does not have any particular view. The price was very fair but you must order a la carte. When I ordered mixed vegetables I received a salad and was told that they did not have cooked vegetables.

We were seated and then ignored. It took quite an effort to call someone over to place our order and then had to remind them we had ordered. Food was good but not the experience.

Had supper there a few nights ago. There were three adults and three kids. Good kids menu. Two adults had corvina broiled. It was awesome! The rice was really good as well as the salad. One adult had mussels in garlic sauce and said they were good. We are on the terrace. Beautiful night. The kids loved the tiki torches.... More

Superb food, great atmosphere with a beautiful view of Panama City. The ceviche is the best I've ever had.

Staff is very friendly but slow. Food was as expected and very delicious. From some tables a good view on the skyline. Live music was really nice. Not the cheapest restaurant, but served good food.

Four of us ate dinner at Pencas twice during our 8 day visit. It is on the Amador Causeway close to the Ecological museum. No crowds at all at 7:30pm We have no complaints at all. All the food was very good. Prices for entrees averaged in the $15 range, and you order a side additional, around $2. We had... More

After a visit to the BioMuseo, we walked to Pencas. We choose a seat on the sprawling balcony overlooking Panama Bay. We were immediately welcomed and seated. Our waiter was eager and helpful. That earned Pencas two stars. When the food arrived, we were all disappointed. The fillete a la plancha seemed like a soggy fried fish fillet, although we... More

We were on a private tour and stopped in for lunch. Good Panamanian menu specializing in fish and bbq meats. Lots of covered tables outside and AC inside. We had corvina fish two ways and both were excellent. We also had fajitas which were excellent. Clean plates all around. Near the Gherry Museum.

My family and I have been coming to Pencas since its opening in 2001. Time has passed, my kids have grown up, many new restaurants have opened (and closed) in Amador, and Pencas is there, still our favorite, always delicious, with fair prices, friendly service, excelent appetizers and great grilled fish, seafood, chicken and steaks.
