We were hoping to eat at the restaurant at the canal but it is all closed up! It doesn’t look like it is opening up anytime soon?? The upstairs deck was used for viewing the canal.

We selected the lunch buffet while visiting Miraflores Locks. There were few options on the buffet and what was there either had no taste or a sort of "old" taste. Literally, I've never been to a worse buffet! My suggestion: Eat somewhere else!

They offer a local flair buffet with picked over dishes that aren’t always quickly replenished. The food is over priced, nothing special or worthily of the cost. Friendly service

We were a party of four and everyone loved the food. The buffet lunch had a lot of variety and easily accommodated a vegetarian in our group. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the Visitors Center and has a great view of...the canal. Drink service was fast and efficient. There is a separate dinner menu, which in hindsight I should have looked at. I'm not sure there is a way to access the restaurant without going through the Center. The only drawback is that it is expensive. There is free parking at the Visitors Center.More

Had reservations for a group of study abroad students that was confirmed in December. Arrived only to be told the building was closed for a private event. Apparently, confirmed reservations mean nothing here.

The food was ok but nothing special. service was good. The price is way too high when you figure in you have to pay for the visitor center to get to restaurant. Buffertt itself was over priced. View is what you go for.

Thirty five dollars for the all you can eat luncheon buffet, which given the location, the second floor of the Miraflores Visitor Centre, seems a reasonable price. Great if you happen to time your meal with a vessel passing through.

was visiting with a friend and ordered drinks while waiting for the crossing of the Panama Canal. While waiting we wanted to go on the balcony but were told that you could only go on the main balcony if you ordered the “buffet”. After being...at this place for over an hour the only customers on sais balcony did not order food. They were locals from Panama. I honestly felt that because we were not local we could not sit on said balcony. We were told that only people ordering the buffet could sit outside. However after observing, this was not the case. I would NOT waste money at this restaurant as the service is horrible, and the waiters are rude. If you are not local you are treated like trash.More

Like the visit, the place is overpriced. But you get to eat with a great view of the canal and if you’re lucky (which we were not), you can see cargo ship passing the lock.

Hi, we actually realised that you could just let them know that you were going to eat in the restaurant. If you did that you would get a "free entrance" but not access to the museum or the top floors. There was a buffet... More
