The staff was friendly and gave us a super history of the area. What friendly people who are proud of the work they have done since Katrina. Tried the catfish and it was great.

I really want to love Gerald's. It is so convenient, and the waitresses are really nice, even if sometimes they forget things because they don't write your order down. However, the flat biscuits that they don't tell you about before you order and then act like nothing is wrong with them when you complain, are ridiculous. Throw those batches out--don't... More
My husband and I visited Gerald's for breakfast this morning. It was 100% improvement over our last visit. The waitress (same waitress we had the issue with in August) was terrific, she was prompt - smiling and appropriately attentive. Way to win a customer back. Looks like you took your customers feedback seriously and came out much better for it.... More
A loyal customer was lost today. We have been eating here weekly for about 3 months. Our waitress this morning was extremely rude and slow. Hint: when a customer starts to tell you the coffee is cold - the appropriate response is " i am sorry you are having that experience today, what can I do to make it right... More
I visited Gerald's at least 12 times during my stay in New Orleans. The service and food were good, and the customers were really entertaining. Hearing the various accents and dialects made my dining experience that much more enjoyable. Oh yes, I am sick of grits.

After getting off the RTA bus #88 right across the street I thought I would have a glass of tea & maybe a donut or something else ??? while I get online... More
We stopped by for a quick lunch while in the area. Their burgers were very good as well as donuts. The only negative that I can say is that the men's restroom didn't have ANY soap and when I could see two men working in the kitchen area it turned me off to the idea of eating there again.
