The lighthouse is a place that makes you feel good for spending your money there! They have an incredible option of delectable treats that varies from visit to visit. They employ and train the homeless in hoping it will help them establish a foothold in...a career. The service has always been outstanding and the food reasonably priced and deliciousMore
Four of us had dinner at the Bistro and chose a selection of dishes. I had the lamb shank which was quite tasty and included a white bean side that was part of the lamb entree. The lamb was very good, the portion was OK...but not large. I would consider this fairly expensive since that was all that was included for $26 (not even a portion of bread). We ordered bread separately. We went at a time when there were a fair number of people in the restaurant and it was very noisy. If you have hearing problems, this is not the place to go at a peak time (it was a Friday night at 6 pm). My wife was pleased with her pork dish which included some vegetables served with the pork. The other couple had a salad type entree with salmon which I assume they were happy with.More
I thought from the ratings that this was going to be mid-range price, but it was pretty expensive (I guess I would say it was on the border of mid-range price and expensive). That being said, I ordered the burger (cheapest thing on the menu...at $14) and the other guy ordered the crabcake ($30). Draft beer was $6 per pint. Food was excellent and a decent size (Not too big, but not small either...kind of in the sweat spot for size). Our server was great, we liked the building and the people. Overall, I would happily recommend this place.More
My sister and I came here on a Saturday around 11:30am to celebrate my birthday. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is cute inside. It is a smaller restaurant, but there’s quite a few tables, a bar area, and a place to buy coffee as...soon as you walk in.
My sister ordered the Breakfast Nachos (house friend tortillas, sausage gravy, salsa, cheddar, jalapeños, scrambled eggs). The portion was huge! There was a ton of egg, chips, and gravy. She loved it. I ordered the California Wrap (scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, tomato, cheddar, avocado) with home fries. The wrap was delicious. It was stuffed with eggs and fixings. The home fries were okay. They were crispy like I like, but they needed salt or some kind of seasoning.
Our server was very polite. We always had refills and she checked in on us from time to time. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and definitely want to return to try other dishes. We parked at the Park Place Garage (behind Miss Shirley’s) and it was about a minute walk to the restaurant. There is also a parking garage across from Miss Shirley’s (West Garrett Garage) and a garage down the street and around the corner from Light House Bistro (Knighton Garage). The restaurant’s mission is wonderful and inspiring. They do amazing work.More
Definitely suggest reservations for Sunday Brunch! Got a space near kitchen and my Cappuccino was great! Had an omelet today, but young lady next to me had the French Toast and I will try that next. Saw Chicken and Waffles being prepared and it looks...great and the portion large! As always great food and service!More
Nine of us met for dinner. All of the dishes were delicious. Appetizers, entrees, and dessert were prepared well and served hot. In addition, our wait person was able to split the bill for each couple.
A great spot on the main drag in Annapolis. I stopped in while in town for a quick visit and had a great breakfast. I got a simple omelet, which was very good, but the menu had many other, more diverse items that were very...appealing. I’d definitely go back next time in town to try something different. And it’s in a neat old colonial type building - almost felt like an old inn or pub. I really enjoyed it.More
I've visited numerous times and have always had a good meal. The menu is varied and creative. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside but there is plenty of seating indoors. My experience with the servers has been varied - from great to...less than stellar. Recently, I stopped in for lunch and was a bit disappointed with the serving size of my quinoa salad (especially given the price). Because it is a social enterprise and all profits are reinvested in the mission of The Lighthouse (our local homeless prevention support center), I will be back!More
