Corn bites awesome.
Mattie was our server and couldn’t have been nicer.
Fresh, non packaged mix drinks (rare in a margarita)
Shrimp tacos and scallop tacos were the best
A definite must visit.
The nachos for 2, an appetizer, is huge! 2 of us used it as an entree with a third person snacking off it, and we still couldn’t finish it! The ice tea was very good. It might sound odd to praise the ice tea, but...it was very good, our waitress credited the ice cubes (filtered water?) The staff is very friendly and efficient.More
I brought a large group of teenagers and adults here one weekday lunch during the legislative session. I did make a reservation, which helped. Staff set aside an area of the restaurant for us and were unfazed by the inevitable 20-minute delay. All the orders...were taken and delivered within 1/2 hour, which I count as miraculous. The food was good and the menu is veg-friendly. I do regret having been unable to sample the margaritas!More
We have eaten here many times over the past few years never with any complaints. This time was a different story. Their house margaritas were still awesome and amazing as usual. The tacos were not so good. We had three varieties and pico de gallo....The pico was very bland and tasted old and soggy not fresh. The tacos were served on the lettuce instead of the tortillas but only one piece of lettuce so it wilted fast and I couldn't really use it to eat the taco with. The Gringo meat was old as if it was sitting around all day. The pork belly was not cooked enough. The fried fish was so burnt and overcooked I cannot believe they didn't through it away and make me a new one, it was hard to cut it on the plate, that is how hard and overcooked it was. I will go back because I usually enjoy myself here and I just hope that this was a case of the cook having a bad day.More
We stopped in with friends to have some Margaritas that we heard were “to die for!”
Well, I think I could have died from the sound instead! While I admit I’m sensitive to sound the music could have woken the dead! We did enjoy the...Avion Margaritas - well done and tasty for 4 people however when I asked (it was about 1030/11pm and place was cleared out with only 3 tables left) if they could just turn the music “down a notch so we didn’t have to yell across the table at each other...” the waitress was visibly annoyed. Then so were our table mates as they thought it was a reasonable request and quite simple to handle as they were bothered too. I didn’t go to a club for a Margarita - it was a restaurant that had decent reviews and truth be told turning the music down a notch wouldn’t have killed you - we had some munchies to order but we didn’t - trying to yell at friends and then maybe eat at the same time wasn’t sounding like much fun! Music is great - deafening customers when they come in to enjoy both a meal AND their guests at the table, and have some fun isn’t really necessary.
Thanks for the Margaritas!More
We were in town for a candidate visit weekend and were trying to experience local fair. The location is smaller but comfortable. Atmosphere was casual and fun. The music was maybe a touch loud but conversation was easy and didn’t have to shout.
Our waitress...was at the table within 2-3 minutes and I was giving her a hard time about the cost of the margaritas. She took it well and kept her cool. Long story short, the margaritas are more expensive than what I typically care for, but as according to our waitress, THEY ARE WORTH IT.
We had chips and guacamole. It was great. My only addition would be to put bacon in it. Otherwise, it was good, and the staff kept us full with chips.
We had chicken quesadilla and chicken tacos. They were both good and highly recommend.
Overall, good atmosphere, expensive but GREAT margaritas, great food. Will definitely go back when we’re back in town.More
