I have now visited this favorite about seven times in the past three months, and even as I write this, I begin to get a craving for one of their signature Austrian dishes. I have only been mildly disappointed once, and that was at a special: sauerbraten which was tasty but insufficiency marinated. That said, I heartily recommend the usual... More

Haflinger Haus is in an older building located in a decent section of Adams with plentiful but unpaved parking behind. The exterior and interior showed some signs of its age. Nonetheless, the interior seemed well kept and clean. Furnishings were older but comfortable. There was a sizeable sitting area on the second floor where the guest rooms are located. I... More

Although the dining rooms, which were very nicely appointed, were closed when arrived, and I was seated in the bar, I was given a quiet table and an excellent meal. I had eaten here before but it had been quite a while ago and I wasn't sure it would be as good as remembered. But is was! As the name... More

My companion and I decided to treat ourselves to a really nice dinner on a recent Saturday evening. Our choice was Haflinger Haus an Austrian restaurant located in Adams, MA. My companion ordered the traditional Wiener Schnitzel, which was served with red cabbage and spätzle. The veal had a light crust coating. It was delicious and folk tender. Both sides... More

Good service , varied menu with Austrian dishes. For those who favor a more American menu there is plenty to choose from on the menu. An excellent pub menu is available (but not in the main dining area). Some of the best chicken wings we've tasted and the chicken snitzsel sandwich is very tasty, great fish and chips too!

What an amazing experience and a warm romantic dinner my husband and I had at Haflinger Haus for our 23rd anniversary dinner! We ordered Schnitzels - wiener and jaeger pork - and it came with a fresh salad. spaetzle, a red cabbage slaw, and a delicious mix of fresh vegetables which are grown out back - talk about fresh! We... More

Plan to spend some time as most of the Austrian dishes are made to order. Two of us had the Scweinshaxe mit Apfel Sauerkraut und Knodel. I can't pronounce it, but it's a slow roasted pork shank that was so tender it just fell off the bone. So good I would make the 100 mile trip again just for that!... More

What a surprise find! We had a delightful dinner last night at Halfinger's. Real Austrian food, reasonably priced, creative and authentic. If you're in the Berkshires this is the place to stop. It is located in a grand old manse with a biergarten outside. This is elegant and old world charm with high quality food. I highly recommend the pork... More

Love love love the Haflinger Haus. The service is always wonderful. The food is amazing - whether you choose the regular menu or the tavern menu. We try to dine as often as possible - so obviously we will be returning soon!

A really good Austrian restaurant. Authentic food as well as an American menu. Schnitzel, goulash, salads with German potato salad and marinated cucumbers. A real find with great service. Eat in the restaurant, outside, or in the lounge. The salmon from the American portion of the menu came with a red pepper sauce and was the best salmon I've had... More
