Called the day of and was able to secure a reservation for four at 7:30 on a Friday night. We were seated in a great booth and enjoyed a delicious meal of croquettes (cheese and ham) oysters Rockefeller, escargots, steak, orange cod and a cheeseburger. The beer list was good but not great (only 1 IPA) and we also enjoyed... More

This is surely one of the absolutely best restaurants in the 5 colleges area, competing with Peter Havens in Brattleboro and the Blue Heron in Sunderland. TJ Buckley in Brattleboro is perhaps a bit better. The food is excellent, and genuinely French, the service first-rate. It's the only place to have a really great lunch in the whole area. Make... Escargots were good, the bread was great. We found the artwork funny and the waitstaff charming. Very good meal.

Great food, good service, knowledgeable waiter. Interesting, and tasty twist on Raclette appetizer. We will definitely come back.

Our waitress recognized us from another restaurant two nights earlier and treated our party of 8 like old friends. Our food was fabulous and extremely satisfying. We ordered mainly what she recommended, including a rabbit perogi that I was ready to kick the plate over, and a sampling of awesome desserts. Don't mad this gem!

Had not been for a while so looked forward to our visit. I recommend a few things. One, only go if Manu or Eduardo are working otherwise you might as we did get a" waiter in training." That might have been alright if someone were keeping an eye but they weren't . So service was lackluster while prices are not.... More

Chez Albert is a French bistro-style restaurant in Amherst. The two dinners we had there were excellent. The swordfish on the first visit was the best swordfish either of us had ever had. The duck cassoulet was also terrific. On the second visit both dishes were again top quality. The wine list is very small but quite good and reasonable... More

I only ate at Chez Albert twice. The first time I thought the food was ok. The second time,I thought it was great. Wait staff was friendly but the kitchen was slow. There were 4 of us each time we ate there. I know they prepare each dish at a time. If you like shellfish& fish it was very good.... More
