The place welcomes a pub and a restaurant. We booked an exclusive salon. The place is not fancy but the food is correct. I had crab cakes and a good steak (50$ for both dishes). Choice of wine and beer. Good service

Went here for an early dinner and were greeted with very friendly staff. Waitress was lovely and we ordered drinks, and the grilled brie appetizer. The overall idea to the brie was quite good. The problem here was that our bread was absolutely black. I am very surprised anyone would let this out of the kitchen. We asked the waitress... More

I took my husband to Palmer's for his birthday. We were there early, so it was wonderfully quiet except for the annoying music soundtrack (modern blues?) they have chosen. At least the music wasn't loud. He enjoyed his filet mignon/grilled shrimp combo. I ordered the pork loin stuffed with sausage, each slice topped with a delicious cranberry-apple compote. Without that... More

At every stop, this restaurant hit the mark. Our group of 9 started at the bar and we always had drinks quickly. We then moved upstairs where the excellent service continued from start to finish. We had calamari and chips for appetizers- both great. For my entree I asked the waitress to make her recommendation and she suggested the Salmon.... More

Went there for a business dinner. We sat at the front. Service was very efficient. I tried one of the specials: home made penne bolognese. The sauce was fresh and the pasta was cooked the right way. Portion was huge and price was average. Wine list could be better but they have good beer options.

A 50th wedding anniversary dinner with our old neighbors when we lived in Andover in the 1980's. We planned everything over the phone from Florida, checked in with the restaurant the day before, and when we arrived the table accommodations upstairs were perfect for the group. Nancy was our server and took care of us. We were not rushed, allowed... More

A nice space in older building, with different room choices for meals. Have tried all for different meals and occasions, as close to local Boarding school. Food and service decent, but nothing special. Potential for space to be updated nicely for a wonderful experience in all rooms, with upgrades in service and food quality. Best to stick with simple things... More

I recently visited Palmers with colleagues of mine. We sat at the bar and service was professional and fast. Great for lunch during the work week. I had the Chicken Saltimbocca sandwich. I have never seen or even heard of a chicken saltimbocca sandwich and had to try it. It was fantastic, a new favorite. Next time I go in,... More
